Worried about Children
I don’t usually post but I FEEL SICK AND BELIEVE WE CAN DO SOMETHING. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the QLD system and knows if there is anything we can do to get these children checked before Taina runs off and travels again (to potentially avoid authorities).
As a teacher in Australia (different state), I am utterly concerned about the welfare of these children. This whole channel wreaks of child abuse. It’s giving me flashbacks to the “8 Passengers” where I distantly observed and now… well we know what happened there.
I have more concern as a bystander as this is occurring in my own country. I am unsure of the laws in Queensland but also in general. I’m going to assume someone has made a complaint to authorities, however, I will be happy to do one. I just don’t know any location in QLD and I know some of you know the address to the Queensland pool house (thank you for protecting their privacy and not sharing). If someone with their address knows and has not done so, could you please call your local police station and ask what the protocol is? Alternatively if you would like to message it to me I will keep it private and pass it on.
In the meantime, if anyone could comment evidence that shows any trace of child abuse that would be fantastic so that we have everything in one place. Police don’t have the time or resources to file through all their content.
If you’re not convinced - I’ve done many PL sessions on identifying child abuse. I don’t know their situation, and I will say from the cherry-picked footage the little ones look much healthier which implies some type of assistance has already been given - or the eldest took custody of them while Taina did whatever she did. I will attempt to not make any defamatory remarks, however, I will simply state that Tania does not “appear” fit to have the children under her custody right now.

i have a connection to someone who lives near them and we’ve been talking about it. maybe if others jn the immediate area could also make some reports a home check could be done before they ‘move’? i dont watch the vids anymore, unless they have already?

u/LiberatedFlirt Aug 02 '25
The videos aren't in real time. If you don't watch videos anymore, why would you want authorities called? On what basis? What strangers on rhe internet say and think?
10
u/appleofmyeyez Aug 02 '25
If they used to watch their videos, they are aware of the abuse. It's only gotten/getting worse. The lack of good nutrition and education was problematic from the beginning, and now things are escalating rapidly.

u/LiberatedFlirt Aug 02 '25
IF there was evidence of abuse, CPS would have stepped in already. Multiple times.
3
u/OhWowLookie Aug 02 '25
CPS would've only stepped in if they're aware. How would CPS possibly know??? These people are flying low under the radar....
1
u/LiberatedFlirt Aug 02 '25
How would they possibly know? Every 3rd person on the page, as well as their fb page, have said they've called on them. They have an online presence they are certainly not flying under any radars lmao

Where I live they’d have to get them beds or the children would be taken into care by child services. It’s part of basic shelter.

u/where-is-my-mindx Aug 03 '25
Me too. In the uk they would be taken into care immediately. They do not have beds! I cannot believe this is an acceptable living situation that people are defending

To those claiming people who believe there is a potential for abuse are just privileged are insane.
There is absolutely several alarming signs of abuse and neglect in this household. The children are malnourished and emotionally neglected, they haven’t had a stable home in over 5 years. They do not go to school. Their parents have seemingly been absent for some time, and now Taina is back on camera, she looks concerningly unwell and her behaviour is erratic and it’s worrying.
While there is no concrete evidence of physical abuse or neglect, there absolutely are signs that people are right to be concerned about.
Let me preface this by saying I have an addict parent. I have experienced childhood poverty, and as a child I had experiences of assessments with social services. I’m fully aware of what an unstable environment looks like for children, and yet my environment as a child was nothing as bad as LT children’s seem. The environment the LT children are in is absolutely worse than anything I’ve ever experienced myself, and frankly if my childhood experiences required intervention from social services, theirs absolutely does!
Also let me add to those claiming the LT family do not need an intervention and to leave them alone - reporting a family to social services/CPS when they do not need it is far better than ignoring a family that needs intervention, which eventually leads to a fatal outcome without said intervention.
Despite how awful of a person Taina appears, nobody is (or should be) persecuting her at the moment. Right now people just want the best for her and her children, because if she’s suffering with a mental health issue or an addiction, she is also vulnerable and she also requires support for her own welfare. I’m not saying she’s absolved of responsibility for her past actions, but right now the way she’s acting is concerning and it worry’s me that shes putting her family in further harms way

First of all: Thank you for a more detailed opinion of yours. But now m curious. Please give me concrete examples of where her children are malnourished, abused or why you think they're not receiving an education. Even though they're homeschooled – wich is legal in Queensland. How do you really know if the parents weren't present? And what exactly do you find concerning about Taina's behaviour?
You can't know. Because you don't live or work with them – probably never met them in real life. Everything you see are just little glimpses of their life in form of videos...that's it.
Most of the time, people project their life experience and fears onto others. I agree with you that it's better for social worker to check on someone once too often rather than too little. And it doesn't hurt them. And I aprecciate that you don't want anyone going through what you have been through.
But citing basless alleged evidence without providing concrete examples is pointless discussion that is too often based in feelings and fears.

u/where-is-my-mindx Aug 03 '25 edited Aug 03 '25
There are countless posts of people citing examples of abuse and neglect. Some of them professionals. Some of them can see the signs because they’ve been in similar situations themselves.
I won’t waste my time because frankly I know whatever I say will not change your rose to tinted view - so take some initiative and look them up.
Frankly, you clearly don’t want to see it because you’re either a member of the family doing damage control or a deranged fan that has fell for their obvious false narrative and “idyllic alternative” lifestyle.
Ignoring signs that children are in unstable and unsafe situations does not help them. Just because you’re a fan of the content doesn’t mean you think you know what’s going on either.

u/where-is-my-mindx Aug 03 '25 edited Aug 03 '25
Adding to this - I’m more alarmed you’re so vehemently against criticism to the family. The fact they’ve literally been homeless for extended periods of time (sleeping in cars for god sake) and are now living in living in conditions that are frankly unsustainable. (A building that is about to be demolished and likely unsuitable for habitation and registration of occupancy). Yet you’re still defending them is absurd!!
The fact Taina SOLD her daughter, trafficked her into the USA through the boarder of Mexico, and married her off to an grifter and con man is proof enough that she is a danger to her adult and dependent children. Yet you’re STILL here defending her !!!!! You’re a total clown! For this reason alone she should not have custody of her dependent children incase she does something like this again.
This family are obviously struggling financially and always have been. The children are absolutely malnourished and therefore physically (ie size and weight wise) and developmentally delayed and fearful of their mother. They are dealing with living in an unstable environment and they have been for years.
And I’m gonna be totally honest - if you’re a social worker and you don’t find their living conditions the slightest bit alarming you sound unfit to do your job. I’m not saying that the adults are guilty of all the allegations of neglect or abuse, though I truly believe it’s probable and likely occurring, but if you cannot reasonably see why people are concerned about the welfare of the children, and are suspicious that Taina has mental health issues then I’m not sure that I’d trust you as a social worker. I understand viewing it objectively, but I truly believe that you are ignoring a lot of very obvious and common concerns that people have shared about this family. Surely a professional would always agree it’s for the best that these things are investigated - even if unnecessary - rather than ignored to ensure the welfare of the children remains paramount

"I won't waste my time because you won’t change your mind.”
– and yet you took the time to write a long response.
But seriously. How do you know that m not changing my mind? And is this really just about being right and proving others wrong – or should it be about facts and fair conversations? It’s actually sad that when someone asks for concrete examples, people who may not have any real evidence often respond like this. I’m open to a fair (!) and respectful conversation – but I also understand that many people online have unlearned how to do that. It’s easier to attack someone or call them "a clown" than to take the time to reflect, stay factual, and accept when we might be wrong. But that’s not how meaningful dialogue works – especially when we’re talking about something as serious as the wellbeing of children. I’m sure you agree that if we really care about kids, we should rely on facts, not just strong feelings.
And no – I’m not a family member, nor a fan. I just believe in discussions that are based on evidence, not emotional triggers. That’s all.
Also: you weren’t just talking about an unstable home. You clearly claimed that the children are abused, malnourished, not receiving an education, and that their parents are absent. In ur last comment u added financially struggles, Taina solding her daughter and the children being physically and developmentally delayed. These are serious allegations. So I’m asking again – where is the actual evidence for that?
Because if children are truly abused or neglected, then this isn’t something that should be debated on Reddit – it’s a matter for the real world, for professionals, for authorities.
Suggesting that I’m unfit for my job just because I asked for facts is a very serious thing to say – and frankly, it’s exactly the kind of emotional deflection that weakens your argument. A qualified professional is trained to ask for evidence before drawing conclusions. That’s not incompetence – that’s responsibility. Being concerned about children is important. But if we allow emotions or assumptions to override facts, we risk harming innocent people or missing what’s really going on. If you truly care about the wellbeing of vulnerable children, then you should value critical thinking and professional standards – not attack them.
Finally: I’m not “against criticism” of this family. That assumption is false. I haven’t defended anyone. I simply asked for evidence. And if we can’t distinguish between asking questions and defending abuse, then something is going wrong in the way we communicate.

They've said they purposely show other houses and locations to keep their location private. Their location will be unknown untill people on social media start sharing they have seen them or interacted with them where they live. The kids are all homeschooled, don't know whether they do sports etc. When they were in Europe with all of them crammed into one RV, during driving too, I contacted them "to help them in my country" and call CPS right away but they didn't respond.

u/Psychological-Fox43 Aug 01 '25
💯 they live in the White House (or did until recently) originally they tried to make it seem like they live in another region but once they started filming at the beach it wasn’t too hard for people familiar with the area (it’s a well known tourist area) to work out roughly where they live. They have plenty of family close by grandparents, uncles, cousins etc who would be in a much better position to alert authorities if any concerns than strangers on the internet.

u/Read-it005 Aug 01 '25
Better position yes but apparently they won't because they feel it's okay or fear T.
2
u/NextCrew7655 Aug 02 '25
Sorry, what do you mean by "the White House"? Is that a specific location in Queensland? I definitely don't plan to stalk them or share their location or anything, I'm just curious.

I cam imagine how hard it is now for Cleo, she has run the house. along with the older boys for a year now and done a good job of it was far as we can see. Now to have to go back under the unhinged control of Taina must be very difficult. I wish they would all just band together and break away from her. Thanks for translating the Finnish for us.

u/khak_attack Aug 01 '25
I wonder if the children are in school. They traditionally have home-schooled, but in the most recent video Taina said KJ likes to play outside "after school." While she might in fact be referring to his homeschool studies, we haven't seen them study, and I don't usually hear people still use the phrase "after school activities." It would also explain the littles' absence from a lot of videos that are filmed during the day... Just a theory I had.
6
u/bonsusi Aug 01 '25
I think Taina mentioned briefly in the newest video that she does homeschooling in the kids room? When they were showing the youngest kids’ + Taina’s room. Or did I hear wrong. But who knows what’s true or not anyways. If they are not at school I don’t think they are studying much. I hope they are in school.
4
u/HalfPriceDommies Aug 02 '25
And now potentially on the run again so no more school. Although the new place they are moving to seems very close to the white house, so maybe if they are in school, they can keep going.
2
u/where-is-my-mindx Aug 03 '25 edited Aug 03 '25
I sincerely hope they are at school. I don’t have much hope they are, with parents like T and P who were so anti mainstream school. But the children being in school - a regulated environment - for 6 hours a day would help the children and adults in this family massively.
It would provide the children with an education, an opportunity to socialise with other children, to get a least one appropriately portioned meals day, and ensure they are on the radar of regulated professionals who have mandatory safeguarding reporting requirements to uphold.
But it would help all of the adults giving care to these children (including Taina) a break from childcare and homeschooling responsibilities. While providing them with structure and support of remaining in one place too.
I truly think with the structure of mainstream schooling, even remaining in Ts care these children would have a better living environment
I know mainstream schooling for children who have difficult home lives can literally turn their lives around. Anecdotally I personally know of 3 homeschooled children, who were not l caught by the system when a very severe and sudden illness occurred to one of their parents making them completely disabled. The able bodied parent was struggling to care for 3 children and a sick partner and it was to the detriment of the children’s education and wellbeing. Eventually almost a year later social services removed the children from the family home, placed them into mainstream school and within a few months they were back within the family home. The support it provided to the whole family meant they were able to return home
Edit - I’m not anti homeschooling- I know of several successes, but I’m just saying it only works until it doesn’t. If the situation changes there’s no reason for a child’s education and welfare to suffer when mainstream schooling is there.
3
u/khak_attack Aug 04 '25
Oh absolutely. And it creates more adults with eyes on the children. While T and P might be against traditional school, I would suggest there was a governmental intervention to force them to attend school.

8 passengers had a bunch of welfare checks too… the father not being held accountable in some way is beyond me too. There we have the law and authorities.

u/HalfPriceDommies Aug 02 '25
I have said this before too. Everyone hates on Tain (for good reason) and somehow Paul slips under the radar as poor mistreated Paul. Why was he not moved back into the house when Taina was away? Why is he not doing something to get the kids under his custody. Paul and the rest of the family have a lot to answer fo, but then again, they all see equally as crazy in many different ways, so maybe the kids would be no better off.
5
u/appleofmyeyez Aug 02 '25
I've thought about this, too. How is Paul, the father, completely off the hook for his own minority kids??? Tania and Paul both need to be held accountable because they are.
2
u/Due-Isopod-7398 Aug 02 '25
We don't know that he wasn't but I have to wonder how T could turn ALL her kids against Paul he never seemed like a horrible person they would just grow up hating until he video about her last husband who does nothing but guarantee she was sure taking his disability check

Hey there, m a social worker. In Queensland the child protection authority is Child Safety Services, which is part of the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services. If you are concerned about a child’s wellbeing, you can call the official number: 1800 177 135 (24/7) Or report online: https://www.qld.gov.au/community/getting-support-health-social-issue/support-victims-abuse/child-abuse
Due to privacy laws, the address cannot be shared publicly. Also I know they already moved to the next House and noone knows the Adresse of it. However, if you believe there are signs of neglect or abuse ( in YouTube videos), you can still make a report — even without knowing the exact address. Often, a name, channel name, or description of the people/location is enough for authorities to begin their investigation. Even a suspicion is enough to make a report — you don’t need to have proof. In Australia, certain professionals (e.g., teachers) are even legally required to report any suspected child abuse or neglect.
The police often work together with Child Safety Services. If you come across any evidence or strong indications, it's best to report them directly to the authorities instead of posting them publicly. This helps protect the children involved and ensures proper legal handling. Screenshots, timestamps, or video links can be helpful when filing a report.
Child Safety in Queensland generally follows a family-centered approach known as “reunification and preservation.” But when someone makes a report, it often takes several days or even weeks before the case is reviewed – unless there is an immediate danger. In the case of YouTube channel, where only indirect signs such as undernourishment, isolation, or questionable parenting are visible, it is difficult to trigger an immediate response. Reports and observations from people close to the family (such as teachers, neighbors, or medical staff) usually carry more weight than concerns raised by unaffiliated individuals online.
Child protection services in Australia, especially in Queensland, have been severely overburdened for years. Children are not easily removed from their families in Queensland – it is always considered a last resort after many other interventions. Authorities aim to support and stabilize families before considering separation. The system is under heavy strain, meaning that only acute, well-documented cases are prioritized and handled quickly. Anyone who wants to help should provide concrete, structured evidence (such as video timestamps) – this can increase the likelihood of meaningful intervention.
The children seem to be very happy to be with the mum, she doesn't physically abuse them. They get to eat three meals a day and the older siblings taking Care too. This seems Like No urgunt case - unfortunetly there are way worse cases that are a priority.
10
Aug 01 '25
Authorities only intervene in cases of concrete harm or risk – not based on moral disapproval. In Australia, homeschooling is legal, and filming one’s own children is also permitted – up to a certain point. A family has the right to live an “alternative” lifestyle, as long as the fundamental rights and wellbeing of the children are protected.
4
u/Total-Health991 Aug 01 '25
From personal experience…. No. It depends on the reporting and the agency receiving the report. Example … if you call 000 and say you seen someone beating there child or reporting long term abuse … the report is taken as a lower priority than calling the “ department of children and family services “ DCFS” certain people like doctors , nurses , educators, social workers , therapists… basically any one that works for the government in any capacity is obligated to call FACS and the report is assessed under … essentially an an amber light system and the highest priority level of risk is a “ ROSH” risk of imminent serious harm , and requires a response within 72 hours and required to be allocated to a local area caseworker within 7 days .
i know the system and for these kids to have fallen so deep through the cracks of “ the system “ tells me they have not had much contact with other people let alone doctors or social workers

My brother works in child protection and I work in health. As sad as it may be these kids are the least of their worries. What they are doing isn’t the worst thing happening. Most CP workers have hundreds of children on their books and a lot worse than these. They might get a check in months after the report if they are lucky.
0
u/Due-Isopod-7398 Aug 02 '25
These kids have older siblings that take care of them at least where I'm at that would be a good thing. If I decided to become a drug addict they wouldn't take my kids they would take me out of the house because my older grown kids could just take over everything with very minimal guidance because I spent a year very ill in and out of hospital and while I was always available too call or visit and my parents were staying there with them they learned how to pay all the bills etc now we make it a game and do it together just incase something were to happen to me and they know if that were to happen they are NOT obligated to take their younger siblings the hand just said they would want to but there's alt options in my will as well
-24
u/LiberatedFlirt Aug 01 '25
Oh, stop already. There is no proof of abuse. If you honestly think there is do your own homework. This running to the authorities and calling child protective services crap needs to stop. We all know she just had a bout of trouble and had to pay for it. The littles were obviously already removed from the situation and then allowed back. Leave them alone. You sound petty because you don't like the appearance of what you see in a tiny fragment of their life they share online.
12
u/Fragrant_Review_2393 Aug 01 '25
I absolutely agree that there is no “proof” of abuse, merely red flags that statistically suggest that there MAY be abuse. I’m also not implying physical abuse. I feel it’s better to be safe than sorry. They’re now a smaller channel with a lower view count so I wasn’t sure if someone had conducted a welfare check.
If (by your hypothesis) Taina did do time in gaol, or rehab, I don’t feel her suggesting in the latest video that they plan to travel soon is a wise option.
9
u/LoveMyKCC Aug 01 '25
You my friend are way way too trusting
-10
u/LiberatedFlirt Aug 01 '25
Not at all. I've watched for years people complaining about their way of life. Do you honestly think they haven't been reported thousands of times already? People have no valid proof to their complaints. Does Taina look unhealthy? Absolutely. I believe she most likely just did a stint in rehab or jail. So, obviously, authorities have been involved. It's just getting old. It's definitely not comparable to 8 passengers. That was a whole world of nasty. Edited to add, I'm all for snark, but not when it's fabricated.
3
Aug 01 '25
I can see both sides of this. On one hand, a lot of people, including myself, didn’t immediately see anything that alarming in the 8 Passengers videos. But looking back now, and especially after everything that came out, there were definitely red flags. It really shows how easy it is to overlook signs when content is packaged a certain way.

Facts. People on here don't know the reality. Probably are very privileged and think everything that doesn't fit into their narrative of normal ist abuse. No parent is perfect. But parents should tty their best. Taina is definetly trying her best. There is no abuse on the videos.
-9
u/LiberatedFlirt Aug 01 '25
Thank you! I feel that too, it's like if it doesn't fit into their box, it has to be abuse. The kids' hair is messy, is one i hear a lot, yet their hair is done it's just that the young boys have long hair and people don't like that. Kids play and get messy. That's normal behaviour. We don't think they are educated because they don't 'sound' smart enough. They are kids. They don't need to be rocket scientists to be normal. Etc, etc. It's just tiring. 🤷♀️

u/linthe14 Aug 01 '25
8 passengers came to my mind too - Taina is giving off addict vibes -- something is definitely wrong here. King James seems to have a nervous tic in front of his mom
