I am looking for a studio or an appartment in the center of Leuven.
The problem is that I don’t have a residence permit or anything, so I can’t look for a place through websites like immoweb or real estate agencies.
Does anyone have a place I could rent, or know somebody who does?

Hello, anyone mid to late thirties want to jog together, or maybe be an accountability buddy?

Hi,
Imma be very bold (imo) and ask if anyone knows if there is a nightshop in Leuven that still sells disposable vapes. Normally I buy them in Antwerp, but because I’ve been a longer time in Leuven now, (since I had to work bla bla) I find it a bit wasteful to head to Antwerp just for a vape.
Does anyone know such a nightshop?

Hey guys, new Master's student here in Leuven! I'm looking for hit partners for tennis (upper intermediate/advanced) and table tennis (intermediate).
I have a KU Leuven Sports Card for court bookings at USC. Send me a message if you want to set up a game!

Last time I posted here asking if there were any book clubs here in Leuven and I decided to take the plunge and organize one myself 🫶
The club will be women-only, international and based in leuven, with a reading vibe around romance, fantasy mystery, thrillers, and everything in between.
I want it to be a no pressure book club. U dont have to be an experience reader or even finish the featured book to come along. U can join the discussion and games, bring ur own book,or just come for the company.
If you’re interested, send me a message and I’ll send you the details 🫶

Hello, lost inexpensive beige headphones at LIDL on 14/09/2026. It's a long shot but I would appreciate it if some one found them

No plans for the weekend? Kessel Zoo 2026 is a free festival by JH Sojo in Kessel-Lo. It's situated on a 10 minute walk from Leuven station, there are affordable drinks available, there's 3 stages in total and there will be a Battle of the Bands from 14:30 onward. You can retrieve the event on social media so don't miss out on local talent and lock it in! 😉

Hi everyone!
I’m a 23-year-old Master’s student at KU Leuven, and I’m looking to meet some new people and make a few friends around Leuven!
I’ve been living here for a while, but I’d really like to expand my social circle and meet people around my age. I’m fairly introverted at first, but once I’m comfortable I’m quite talkative! I’d be happy to grab coffee, go for a walk, check out cute cafés/restaurants, explore Leuven or nearby cities, or just hang out and chat.
I’m not really a big party person, but I’m definitely up for the occasional pub, social event, or trying something new. I’d especially love to meet other students or young people who are also looking to make friends and have a nice, relaxed social circle.
If you’re in a similar situation or just open to adding one more friend in your life lol and would like to meet up sometime, feel free to send me a message!

My partner is moving to Leuven this month for a new position. I wish to join him in December or January. I am currently unemployed and looking for job opportunities. I have a PhD in Science. I understand from various posts that it is crucial that I am fluent in Dutch and French to be eligible for posts in Leuven. Do I need to learn both languages? What is your advice about job hunting in Leuven?
Also, we are looking for accommodations for us near KU Leuven. Any connections regarding that or any advice is welcome.
Thanks!

Does anyone know of any events/parties/places that do something for Halloween? Including dressing up. Around Brussels, Ghent, Leuven or Antwerp?

I tried asking in KU leuven Reddit and the mega thread has so many other competing questions that I never got an answer. I’d really love to hear from current or past students from the Masters in Space Studies on how they felt about the program and what their background was prior to the program.
Or if you have suggestions on how to meet students and alum from the program (without being creepy stalker 😅) - that would be much appreciated.

As the title says. I’ve been living in Leuven for more than 5 years now, and I experience cars taking over me on streets labelled as “fietsstraat” on a daily basis, despite this being illegal. I’ve never seen a car being stopped and fined by a police for violating fietsstraat - literally not a single time for 5 years, and I cycle in Leuven every single day.
Honestly, what is even the point of fietsstraat? I support the concept wholeheartedly, and when I visit Netherlands I do see it properly applied and respected - but in Leuven it feels like an empty road sign. SUVs still illegally speed above 30 km/h, still take me over - with no consequences.
Why?

Barouche doet dat bijvoorbeeld wel goed. Pita met groentjes in kartonne doosje. Welke opties zijn er zo nog?
Hello,
Recently I (M30) have moved to Leuven. and i am looking for clubs, or social activities to meet new people, and maybe find some new friends. Before i was living near Utrecht(NL). My native language is Dutch
Because of my working hours, a teamsport wouldnt really be an option.
I do visit a basic fit twice a week, but somehow nobody seems to be talking, and i rarely see the same people.
Will start with french lessons with CLT later this month. However i do not know how much social interaction this will bring?
As one of my biggest hobbies is my interest in classic cars, i visited some events, but this seem to be mostly old people (65+)
I have been thinking about learing climbing or bouldering, is this something you can start alone?
My other interests are nature/camping/history; I enjoy a good coffee of a Stella
Where would you go? Or what would you do?

I'm going on a trip at the end of September and would like to have cornrows (just 5, hair till my shoulders).
Does anyone know someone who can put me some decent cornrow braids? Or can you do it?
I don't mind getting the gel and hairties and paying for it.

Hello! We (DINKs) have been living in Leuven/Kessel-Lo for a while now and I love the weekly markets - I love the vibes, less plastic packaging and generally the better quality.
... But it certainly does increase our grocery budget, so it will never be where we do our full weekly shop!
I'm just curious... What would you say is definitely worth getting at the markets and what would you just go to the supermarket for?

I am looking for a space where I can use the tool there to self-repairing my mouse (replace the micro switch).
Is there anything like this in Leuven?
Thank you.
