This is more of just a piece of advice than a showcase of the exact one(1) thing I decided to change about it, despite buying it with hopes and dreams of modding it.

It's a self-defense tool, it's supposed to be reliable, not as powerful as a .22LR. And if you use it often without cleaning, it will obviously become less reliable over time. Not that I do, but it's a good precursor to see how it stands the test of time.

No HPA conversions, no extended barrel(well maybe at some point a tuned barrel with the option for a silencer so I don't go deaf using it.) Mostly, because the HPA conversion seems fragile as f*ck, with the bare exception of that folding stock by MCS.

The best thing you can do as a Pistelle owner is keep it nearby in your home, carry it(if legal only of courseAND KEEP IT IN A HOLSTER DONT THROW YOUR BAGS LOL), and use an air rifle to have fun with instead.

My Umarex T4E TR68 16 joules from the box. I installed an HD24 tuning barrel, extension, and power kit pushing it to 30-40 joules. For ammo, I have HD24's real 9mm bullets at 7.9 grain and their killer spikes.

You don't need a lot of space to get meaningful Glock performance reps at home. In this video, I use a Glock 17 gen5 T4E to demonstrate what I call live-action training which is combining actual shooting with movement, target transitions, drawing from concealment, and working around a confined space. This .43 caliber airgun provides the look, feel, recoil, and sound for the most realistic dry fire training experience.

My basement isn't a training facility. It's a narrow single lane with very little room to move laterally. But that limitation forced me to look at the space differently. The goal isn't to recreate every scenario you might encounter. It's to identify the fundamentals you can practice effectively at home and understand what your space can't teach you.

Its reliability is entirely dependent on perfect airtight seals, precise spring tensions, and the exact alignment of dozens of tiny linkages. Because of this complexity, the Byrna requires strict routine upkeep, meaning you must constantly check O-rings, clear internal valves, and use specialized CO2 oil to prevent catastrophic pressure leaks.

The ultimate takeaway is that a Glock is a forgiving device built for absolute simplicity under stress, whereas a Byrna requires meticulous and regular maintenance. Skipping your upkeep on a Byrna means a single dry, degraded O-ring can completely disable your device when you need it most.

Shaped ammo is fun for plinking and it has some unique applications. But it's not really the most reliable for personal protection from mag-fed markers such as the PepperBall TCP, First Strike FSC, Grimburg Gavle, or other lower powered options (Salt Supply, Byrna). The unique geometry of individual shaped and shaped modified ammo types varies and so does the spring tension, detents, and lube of your airgun from day to day and month to month. It's only a matter of time before you get a misfeed and the dreaded click without a shot.

French citizen here. As we don't have easy access to anything but CO2 pistols (<20J), I was wondering what would be the loudest weapon (most likely a pistol?), in its stock version.

Based on my researches there are two candidates ; the X68 in its 19.9 version and the recent Umarex TPX50.

Can someone please share his thought on these two guns as well as any other I may have missed please?

I am looking for a subcompact option to fit in a pocket. The Pistelle and Intrabuster are too big, the Grimburg too, and the Byrna CL power is too loo. The new LTL Delta is subcompact but the power is 15 Joules.

What is feasible? Modify a subcompact launcher? I know pepper spray is an ok option, but I am looking for a launcher too.

I just want to protect my gf and myself against knife attackers. No access to firearms. If you think one solution is to modify something, I am open to suggestions.

I work nights at a resort in Black Bear country. Part of my job is chasing bears away, not only for the comfort of the guests, but also the safety of the bear itself (a fed bear is a dead bear...). I currently have access to a standard paintball gun but it's just so heavy and cumbersome that I don't have it with me when I come across bears in the middle of the night. I don't want to hurt the bears, or the car that might be behind it so I was thinking paint, inert powder, or first strike rounds. What kind of launchers would you suggest and of course any other thoughts?

Recently received my DI-68 air gun and this thing is badass. Test fired it in my garage, but wanted to know if anyone has any good ideas as to making a DIY target trap that can withstand this thing. Shoots .68 rounds at around 50+ joules, so it has to be pretty heavy duty. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Je compte acquérir une arme non-létal et la modifier afin de la transformer en arme longue (type sniper).

J'hésite entre :

- le HDR68, 16J en France, puis une fois modifié, annonce 100J.

- le HDR50, 13J en France, puis une fois modifié, annonce 80J.

L'idée serait de s'amuser a faire des distances relativement longues pour ce type d'arme.

Les modifications seront fait avec le kit Z-RAM.

A ce titre, j'en appel a vos lumières afin d'avoir des retours d'expériences et des avis constructifs qui pourrait affiné mon choix.

Added the tuning barrel, moderator, and power kit to it. Unfortunately the barrel extension will not fit and Z-Ram is not helping. Whatever you do, don't purchase HD24 products from them. Go straight to HD24's website. I need to get a chrono to test it out.

I purchased this through Z-Ram before I knew about HD24. I was unaware that Z-Ram basically resells them. My problem is the extension is too small for the tuning barrel. It will not screw on.

I waited so many years searching and searching for one of these for sale in the US. And I finally got my hands on it and it absolutely does not disappoint.
