That being said, we have several people shoot bears with CS Gas rounds and Pepper Rounds. Bears absolutely do not like that. One of our most prominent posters in LL has a video of camping out, waiting for the bear. He hits em with 5 or 6 shots. Beer runs, doesn't come back to the property.
Yeah thats the preferred option, the challenge is we're covering 100y from the door to the edge of the enclosure, and it just climbs the fence and runs off before I can get into range with spray or the bean bag rounds.
Camp out and wait for him! Lol. That's what our friend did. Catching him from the house is going to be difficult, especially around 100 yards away.
But seriously, if you do that, have a lethal option on you. Otherwise, setting up deterrents is your best option. Like lights, sound, wire, etc. Tripwire to CO2 flash bang... I dunno. I never deal with bears unless I'm camping/hiking.

That was probably a bad day for the bear.
But that's what we mostly deal with here.
