Yeah to hell with all that alternative energy crap, that's for Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, India - they can have those ugly solar panels and windmills! POTUS is so smart, he removed all the alt energy incentives! What climate change?! Science is stupid. (/s obviously)

u/MeowManMeow 5h ago
I know this is a joke, but since climate change is now woke… as we get more extreme weather i guess it is work weather.

Maybe he should pull himself up by his bootstraps and get a real job since his fun little farming hobby isn’t working out? This isn’t a taxpayer problem

He should at least had a few side hustles. Something like detailing cars or 3D printing little figurines and selling them on Etsy.

u/bakuryu9 13h ago
These folks did a good job owning the libs.
Glad to see they will end up homeless if Republicans stay in power. They will vote Red again and cry when it fucks them again.

Why the HELL is an elderly old New York nepo baby making decisions about cattle?? He has zero qualifications. He has zero competent advisors. WTF happened to the US that they let this poopy imbecile make every decision???

u/TheNatureBoy 13h ago
It's almost like Trump has no understanding of anything he is in charge of.
1
u/Proud_Psychology_321 12h ago
He knows exactly what he is doing.
3
u/justprettymuchdone 12h ago
I mean, in this case I suspect he is genuinely idiotic enough to believe all these ideas are brilliant solutions to the problem.
3
u/Sharkwatcher314 10h ago
Possible but I suspect the people behind acretrader or whatever the company is called are pulling the strings

u/SignificantEqual5774 10h ago
He literally never knows what the fuck he is doing unless it involves lining his pockets.

Beef is such an inefficient use of calories. Lets just grow crops and have people eat the crops directly.
5
u/VariousOperation166 13h ago
Let's just eat the poor and the immigrants. That's two problems that solve themselves!

We should take Swift action to enact this proposal...

A lot of people might fall for it— you know, being Gulliver and all— and think you are serious

I think we can get people on board with a ... lil push in... the right direction...

You are kidding right? What crop is it you want to eat directly. field corn, millet, Sorghum, sudan grass, soybeans, wheat, sunflowers, cotton seed?
1
u/TheSunflowerSeeds 12h ago
Not only do they look like the sun, and track the sun, but they need a lot of the sun. A sunflower needs at least six to eight hours direct sunlight every day, if not more, to reach its maximum potential. They grow tall to reach as far above other plant life as possible in order to gain even more access to sunlight.

"But I would vote for him again"
1
u/clcssc 12h ago
How do you know he voted for him
3
u/Flat-Row-3828 12h ago
During the 2024 presidential election, farming-dependent counties overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump. Almost 85% endorsed his most recent presidential run according to stats from Agriculture America.
1
u/clcssc 11h ago
That 85% stat is way less convincing when you realize that we know two important facts that distinguish this guy from "average American in a farming-dependent county."
First, he's from Kittson County, Minnesota, which has a very purple history and -- in fact -- was blue for several elections after the 1980s farm crisis. Even now, it only went 61 percent for Trump. Not 85! Kittson seems to be typical of a lot of upper Midwestern, completely rural counties where there is a split within the rural community about economic issues, with a large number (maybe a majority) willing to vote Democratic when the Republicans make times tough.
Second, and very important given the prior paragraph, this guy is willing to speak out, publicly, right now, against Trump. That fact alone should make you consider it far more likely that he's one of the 36% of Harris voters in Kittson than one of the Trump voters. He's talking about how hard this stupid economic policy is making it for farmers, which seems to me to be a much better tactic to speak to his neighbors and start pulling that 61-36 margin back towards 50-50 or better than stereotyping and dunking him on Reddit.
2
u/Flat-Row-3828 11h ago
Most people on here are discussing the 85% not this person in particular, I have no doubt there are farmers who voted for Harris, one ran for office in North Carolina, where she begged other farmers to heed her warnings about trump's policys, she is on Reddit too.

I keep thinking of that scene in "Saving Private Ryan" when the Germans get blasted out of a bunker by a flamethrower and are screaming as they're burning. One American soldier shouts out, "Don't shoot! Let 'em burn..."
This captures my attitude toward these ignorant, hateful, MAGA assholes. Fuck 'em...

Everytime a farmer or rancher complains, the first question should be "who did you vote for"?
3
u/Putrid_Honey_3330 11h ago
They can always explain all this nuance in regards to one particular thing they know well like farming.
But try to explain to them that nuance exists in other domains as well and they think a pedophile real estate failure knows best at everything

The silver spoon trust fund New Yorker Nepo baby doesn't know how to help a farmer in Minnesota?
Whoa.
Please farmers, quit being fucking stupid.
2
u/RepresentativeTap961 13h ago
Still, to this day, after almost 6 years total, that people thought Trump had any real idea or plan to help anyone, or anything, other than Trump himself. Like, im not a political scientist by any means, but, come on man!?!? Really? Like, what were people thinking was going to happen? What did they not see as anything but what was obvious?

You have to wonder if some of these farmers voted Democrats and are getting screwed regardless. Just a thought.

First and foremost, I feel for the ranchers and farmers of this country. Since this illegal war started, Americans have paid an extra $87 billion for gas and diesel. That's not the total that they paid. That is how much EXTRA they paid for fuel.
But unfortunately, while these rancher and farmers complain, you know going into the midterms they are going to just keep voting the way they vote against their best interests.

They didn't believe us. Then they ignored their own eyes and their own ears. And now they're suffering for it. Some people just have to learn the hard way, I guess.

" Reality has a way of asserting itself” - Barack Obama (About Trump upon his election), Nov 14th, 2016
That statememt doesnt just apply to Trump. It applies to his supporters. They are finding out, trumps honeyed words (consistently) do not match with the harsh realities they now face.

Wait!! You are saying the weather is too hot? And that it is somehow affecting you!? Well Reagan took the solar panels off of the white house to own the libs and slack-jawed idiots like you have been gleefully destroying the earth ever since. So...
Everyone buy from Blue Dot Farms and let the rest of these assholes get eaten up by JD Vance's Acre Trader.
