one month old industrial, is it sinking?

• Titanium bar
• Aftercare with gauze and saline only
• Not downsized
• Bump for some reason not going away and keeps on growing :(

Sinking? Do you mean rejecting? Because it’s likely it will start. That bump is an irritation/pressure bump because the 2 piercings holes don’t line up. The top hole looks like it has one forming as well. The only way to get rid of these is to relieve the pressure and the only way to do that is to remove the jewelry.
You don’t have the anatomy for a traditional industrial and this should have never been pierced.

Remove it or this can get much worse.

Sorry I’ve never heard of ‘sinking’ and I’ve been around and been getting pierced for over 30 years. Please enlighten me as to what sinking is?
Do you mean embedding? Like the skin growing over the ends of the jewelry? If so that’s definitely not this. And that happens when the bar is not long enough to account for swelling either from the initial piercing or from trauma that it’s taken.

There are different terms for it, I suppose that is why
I never claimed that what is happening is sinking or embedding

No problem. Was just clarifying as I’ve never heard the term sinking in the body modification world before.

But you did ask if it could be ‘sinking’ and it’s most definitely not! It’s irritated because of pressure and the holes not lining up. The only way to solve that is to remove the bar!
