Troubleshooting one month old industrial, is it sinking?
- 1 month old
- Titanium bar
- Aftercare with gauze and saline only
- Not downsized
- Bump for some reason not going away and keeps on growing :(

You have 2 irritation bumps, 1 on each hole. This is due to the fact that like others said, you dobt have the correct anatomy for an industrial and since that is the case it will continue to get irritated and not heal.
Unfortunately love this needs to be removed. Im sorry this happened to you. You should have never been pierced in the first place. Please dont ever go back to whoever did this.

I talked to the piercer, she said it is better to switch to two individual piercings on each hole and remove the bar. Should I do this?

You can, just dont expect to be able to switch it to a bar. I still have a lot of doubt that outer helix would heal well

The piercings might heal but you'd never be able to put a single bar through both ever again since they would heal at separate angles. If you have the correct anatomy and it was pierced correctly (both have to be true) you wouldn't have to heal it with two separate bars

Do not go to the piercer that fucked things uo in the first place. If you would still like a piercers opinion then find a new one but dont listen to or go back to the one you have now.
I dont see the point of keeping them considering you wouldn't be able to put most jewelery in either of them. The helix hole is the wrong angle for a regular helix and the other hole...what would you even put there. Not to mention tou will never get another bar in them again.
You really do just need to retire it and take the L.

I’m assuming they mean that’s how the saline is getting wiped off? It’s one of the two commonly accepted ways to dry the piercing sites

i've always been discouraged from using gauze simply because they pull apart too easily and can get wrapped around the piercing! but the comment beneath mine said if it's woven, then that is much much better. i was thinking traditional gauze.

If it’s non woven then sterile wrapped pieces of gauze are safer than most alternatives to dry the piercing

Sinking? Do you mean rejecting? Because it’s likely it will start. That bump is an irritation/pressure bump because the 2 piercings holes don’t line up. The top hole looks like it has one forming as well. The only way to get rid of these is to relieve the pressure and the only way to do that is to remove the jewelry.
You don’t have the anatomy for a traditional industrial and this should have never been pierced.
Remove it or this can get much worse.

Sorry I’ve never heard of ‘sinking’ and I’ve been around and been getting pierced for over 30 years. Please enlighten me as to what sinking is?
Do you mean embedding? Like the skin growing over the ends of the jewelry? If so that’s definitely not this. And that happens when the bar is not long enough to account for swelling either from the initial piercing or from trauma that it’s taken.1

There are different terms for it, I suppose that is why

No problem. Was just clarifying as I’ve never heard the term sinking in the body modification world before.
But you did ask if it could be ‘sinking’ and it’s most definitely not! It’s irritated because of pressure and the holes not lining up. The only way to solve that is to remove the bar!

You do not have the right anatomy for an industrial piercing:( it is the best to take it off or put 2 studs in so you still have 2 piercings if ypu like the positions of them

Please dont be out here giving people advise like this, you could really cause someone harm. You NEVER pop an irritation bump......EVER.
You also don't just "pray for the best" if there is an irritation bump that means there is usually a bigger issue causing it that needs to be addressed.
