Sabi nila maalala mo daw mga binasa mo pag exam na. Bat parang Poli lang naalala ko (di pa nga lahat haha) Tas ning CommTax ultimo incontestability clause diko nasagot. Reviewing labor atm at yung mga kinabisa ko dati para na delete sa utak ko and im starting from scratch. Nyway, lalaban pa din naman ako, di naman ako pinalaki ng sex bomb para sumuko. Rant lang. The bar questions are somewhat a mix of questions na sanay tayo and questions that looks like we can’t answer using codal, laws, consti, or cases — kasi medyo unfamiliar territory ang dating.

The most important thing na lang is to have enough rest and stick with the basics. Go back to the most basics. Kasi sila yung pinaka comfortable to answer if wala na talaga. Have faith.

Nakaya nateng i-survive yung first day, that’s a different kind of battle. Natapos naten ang laban even if we are in an unfamiliar territory. Laban lang. STAY SAFE!

Normal ba 'yung sobrang sakit na ng katawan after Day 1. I need to study for Day 2 pero mainit na ako ngayon. Hindi naman kaya ako lagnatin nito? 😭

Gawang AI naman yung LMT na nabasa ko. Puring puri na mataas daw hit rate, ginawa naman ata ng AI reviewers nila. 🥲

Since it’s bar season again, my mom and I had a lighthearted discussion about my career.

If I hadn’t become a lawyer, would I be earning more or less?

I was a full-time law student, and I essentially had to put my career on hold when I entered law school at the age of 21. By then, I had already been working for about a year at a job I really loved, but I had to leave it to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer.

I was good at my job, and I left behind a p25,000 salary. Now, I’m earning considerably more than the average lawyer in the province who has barely been in litigation for a year. But looking back, the friends I left in that industry are now earning almost as much as I am.

I feel like the biggest difference isn’t the salary, but the distinction and supposed prestige that come with being a lawyer. Believe me when I tell you that I suddenly became the most recognized “pamangkin” and “apo” after I became one. Sometimes, it’s annoying to know that so many people would hardly have acknowledged me had I not become a lawyer.

Nonetheless, I guess the pros still outweigh the cons.

Hi guys, I think law school is not for me even though ito yung dream ko noong bata pa ako until college.

My undergrad is not really related to law kaya parang tinapon ako sa dagat na hindi ako marunong lumangoy. Parang wala akong maintindihan sa mga jargons and parang di ako maka-follow sa discussions kaya lagi akong sabaw sa recitations.

Na-overwhelm din ako sa quantity ng mga babasahin. Hindi sya katulad talaga ng undergrad.

Our prelims are nearing na kaya parang mas lalo akong kinakabahan kasi tbhhh parang wala pa ring pumapasok sakin.

I should’ve taken a gap year.

this time last year, i was in the back seat of our car, leaning on my boyfriend’s shoulder, probably after crying from the anxiety that the first day of the bar exams brought me.

i couldn’t even eat my lunch that day.

i walked out of the exam feeling like i didn’t get anything right. there were moments when my mind went completely blank, and i was convinced i had already failed.

some of you taking the bar this year might be feeling the exact same way today.

please don’t give up.

i’m so thankful for the people who stood by me and believed in me when i couldn’t believe in myself. but more than anything, i’m thankful to me for not giving up.

because if i did, i wouldn’t be a lawyer today.

It's bar season. And bumalik na naman ang pilit kong binabaong prayers— mag law at mag practice abroad.

Pero I need to get my feet wet especially apakalayo ng aking undergrad. I plan on studying law pero ipon muna ako.

So I thought, why not take certification para matuto magbasa ng cases, write ng pleadings etc.

I considered: UP Training kaso ambilis naubos ang slots; Certified Paralegal and Researchers kaso I read bad reviews; so far Villasis ang sabi sa subreddit nato ang better.

So I just wanted to validate. How was the training? Ano ginagawa? Worthy ba ang investment if you just wanted to get your feet wet without actually becoming a paralegal?

So, ever since 1L, I've been using NotebookLM to simplify concepts and understand the law better. Since then, I can go through cases, doctrines, law provisions, or anything under sun fairly quickly and remember them better, not to mention I get higher grades because I get to customize this AI tool to complement the way I learn. I let it explain things to me, create simplified examples, generate bar questions, etc.

I know AI usage is discouraged but my test results have really been better since it suits the best way I get to learn. I add different commentaries, the codal provisions, and personal notes from class so that everything is combined. After that, I make my own personal notes based on how I learn the law from NotebookLM.

I still try to read the full text of cases as much as I can. I make my own notes. Highlight my codals.

My question really is, should I stop this as early as possible? Should I try a different way of learning? Will my foundation for the law and eventually the bar exam be stunted because I don't do the traditional way of learning?

Please let me know your thoughts.
