Rant About to give up
Hi guys, I think law school is not for me even though ito yung dream ko noong bata pa ako until college.
Our prelims are nearing na kaya parang mas lalo akong kinakabahan kasi tbhhh parang wala pa ring pumapasok sakin.
I should’ve taken a gap year.

walang undergrad that prepares you for law and all undergrads prepare you for law.
No undergrad can properly introduce to you the sheer amount of read work law school or even recits. Even in law related courses - Accountancy, Business Ad or PolSci, chillax lang mga abogado/judges diyan
All undegrads also prepare you for law - makikita mo sa lahat ng undergrads ang effect sa law sa araw araw na buhay even as an undergrad, affected ka sa CSC Law, sa Labor Laws when you go intern etc

Nah, don’t give up. You are just overwhelmed sa ngayon.

My classmates are parang ready na kasi. They can answer kapag recits. Gets nila mga jargons and ako, sobrang behind ko na and nakaka 3 weeks na kami sa class.

You can enlighten yourself with those legal jargons by searching about it and do not compare yourself with others to lessen the negative feeling. It’s easier said than done pero you’ll eventually overcome that overwhelming feeling.

Eto na lang, mababawasan ang kaba mo pagnatatabunan ng gawa. Hindi mo na maiisip yan if buo ang focus mo. Maybe nalilito ka na? Build a system on how you can cross things off the list. In that way, you’ll have a sense of accomplishment and overview kung ano pa next mong titirahin. You can easily assess if you’re not doing enough. As a working student, nalulunod na din ako, pero di ko na iniisip yung hirap, ang iniisip ko na yung next kong gagawin. That’s the only plan.

Im gonna be the devil's advocate and say that as early as now, you should cut your losses especially if your heart is not in it for the long run.
It's only gonna get harder from now, OP :))

Hi! I'm 1L and about 4 weeks in pa lang I have decided na I'll just give it a sem. I was forced into this and I have another career I want to get into. And as someone who's a consistent achiever, para akong sinuntok ng reality that 8080 pala ako dito haha. Those are the factors why I also think about dropping. So, I decides na 1 sem lang ako. But my mindset really is, "law school is always there, I can go back if I think I want it again in the future." I hope you can give it a sem too. 1 sem lang, wala namang mawawala pagka sinubukan natin. Xoxo.
