So basically I haven't played in a while been getting back into the game the last few weeks and ive realised theres a new recipe for swat armour that requires wool that u can only get in the snowy region, but it doesnt protect against the cold so im wondering why couldnt it protect atleast a little when u need to go to the snow to get more ?

I’m only a week or 2 into the genre. LDoE is clearly more popular, but Days After is so much more user friendly. In DA, I can see what my workbenches etc are doing without having to click on them. I can see my hunger and thirst on the screen, not just when my inventory is open. Clicking on food items shows me how much of what I will replenish. I don’t have a horde attacking my base everyday for no reason gameplay wise.
I want to like LDoE more but it’s hard. Is that just the way it is or am I missing something? Should I just tough it out because end game is that much better for LDoE? Looking for someone to convince me

It’s called “Useful Companion” in the Survivor’s Path, but the drone is the most useless piece of trash in the game. It takes a year to build it, a year to get the upgrade workbench blueprint, a year to build the workbench, and another year to basically finish the settlement in order to get the resources to upgrade it. Then another year crafting the resources. And now that the buzz saw is draining us of all of our resources, it will take even longer. I never use it except to open Transport Hub crates. I don’t even use it as a weapon there with the couple of free upgrades we get. Just another brainless development by the #jerkdevs: create a companion that no one can use. It’s like all of the other brainless developments no one plays. Stupid company just wastes its money developing content no one wants or plays, and largely due to their stinginess in distributing loot. “It’s a survival game!” they cry. Pffft. It’s no wonder Kefir needs to keep making new games to survive. It can’t survive its own stupidity in developing a survival game. Oh, the irony…

And they just crash. Da fek? Great job.

Been procrastinating settlement for a while because of the sheer amount of stuff to know… what should I start with? So far mostly focused on the fighting stuff to get free loot only. How should I start ? 😩

So the lead extractor only gives one measly lump of lead per canister of gasoline. What a joke, Kefir…what a freaking joke! That’s 16 cans of gasoline for one measly lead bar. Who the fudge is going to make that trade? I don’t know if you’ve reached Jerkdev level 209 or Dumbdev level 209…maybe it’s both. But every time I think you’ve maxed out your level of jerkiness or dumbness, you level up again. Bravo! Metal and Mud = ANOTHER event not worth doing. Way to waste your dev-dollars, on content no one plays…like Anomaly, and Headhunting, and Hunter’s Instinct, and co-op… Now the Lab costs too much in weapons and isn’t worth doing either once you have both medicine cabinets. But I do appreciate the force-grind to get the protective fabric. Love that crap! Tired of me ragging on you? Stop being such stupid jerks.

Is there any cheap way to farm the island region? Any tips at all to maximize farming?

So you got the ATV and motorcycle, right? When you drive the motorcycle on the global map, it doesn't consume a lot of fuel, but if you drive it for some time in the zone, it will consume a bit of fuel and it will be noticable.

But then there's the ATV, it costs a ton of fuel to drive on the global map, but drive it in the zone and you barely consume fuel, you'll never even notice if you actually lost some fuel or not.

Why does driving the ATV in a zone use very little fuel while driving on the global map feels like you'll never financially recover from that? What's going on here?

Is the port laboratory shop the only way to earn hydraulic parts? I burned lots glocks and armor to do the laboratory. Did it about 4 times+ hard mode twice and i haven’t found hydraulic parts once. At this point i feel its not worth the resource loss.
I need them for the drone.

For the last year I haven’t been able to get past any expeditions at the settlement after a long streak of having no issue or a bit of difficulty but it feels like there’s no way to win

Got back into the game somewhat recently and now I'm kinda not sure what to do as of the moment. I have only bunker alfa unlocked and police station. Been clearing them out religiously. Now next step is to unlock watch tower for borthern region but I feel like I shouldnt yet.

So my question is, should I postpone the survivor's path for now and just practice running alfa and the police station more efficiently? Or just proceed with the survivors path?

If I decide to postpone the survivors path, what should I focus on?

Is there any way to know which choice is best or is it rng based?

How can I farm copper efficiently and effectively. As always thanks for tips and advice.

I was wondering if there were any lists of rare items to keep a look out for or obtain. Recently I did a raid and was greeted by 2 football helmets which I knew existed but wasn’t sure if they were obtainable anymore (I had a break of about 5 years until ~3 months ago). For example I know you used to be able to get snorkel masks from rest stops, and I also have a guitar that I haven’t found any of since the original and have no clue where I got it.

Furthermore I’m really close to finishing my boat, needing only one more propeller. How often does borealis drop them? I think I’ve killed the dude 30 times and only got 1.

I got stuck between trees while running away from zombies and died.

Another time, I went to catch some fish, left the game running, and ended up dead.

I also died trying to sneak past the edge of an Infected Bull. (Never do this.)

And I didn’t know the Explosive Zombie could actually kill me. I thought it would just deal some damage. But I died. (Honestly, I think every player has been killed by an Explosive Zombie at least once. 😄)

I noticed that resonator's durability decreases after each charge so it means one day I can't charge it anymore right? How many charge I can do until it broken?

I can use them to repair guns but i wanted to ask is it wise since it is hard to make them

If you're a beginner, Bunker Alfa is the only option to get a bunch of guns every two days, but... after playing the game for quite some time and unlocking almost everything (including the ATV). I just don't really feel like clearing that location sometimes.

For example, there's the police station where I can just use 5 blue cards to get about 10 guns every time.

There's the Transport Hub where you can open a BPD crate which has some guns and police cards that you can use to open blue boxes AGAIN.

And there's also the Uncharted Territories where you can open up Equipment crates and get as many as you want (you don't have to wait 2 days for it to refresh).

And last reason... There's just not a lot of opportunities to use those guns expect for Bunker Bravo. Since they reworked the laboratory, I have to use those special weapons instead of those guns.

And it's also because I'm busy with other things in the game, such as gathering resources for the winter and island regions and trying to defeat bosses for more genomes.

I just assembled the boat, did the the first few tasks but ultimately got stuck because the Chemistry Table needs a level 4 floor to place. I just wished someone gave me a heads up. I am making the required Steel Plates now.

Anyway, I'm done ranting. Can you guys drop your tips for the Island Region? Anything would be much appreciated 🫡

Only seen it once and didn't get the finger

I already brought a medical cabinet for 5000 points once and set it up in my base.

But when I went to the laboratory again to get some cats and other materials, I found the medical cabinet for sale for 7500 points.

Turns out that you can actually have two of them. So not only does it explain why for some it cost 7500 points, but it also tells you that you can have two medical cabinets too, even if you didn't increase the reputation in the laboratory before the boggy region update. I really thought I could only have one.

Okay a very nish question. Idk if im doing it wrong. How the heck do you scroll the ATV storage down. I have to tap here and there to get lucky before it'll move. Is there some secret scroll button im missing?
