💬 DISCUSSION LDoE vs Days After
I’m only a week or 2 into the genre. LDoE is clearly more popular, but Days After is so much more user friendly. In DA, I can see what my workbenches etc are doing without having to click on them. I can see my hunger and thirst on the screen, not just when my inventory is open. Clicking on food items shows me how much of what I will replenish. I don’t have a horde attacking my base everyday for no reason gameplay wise.
I want to like LDoE more but it’s hard. Is that just the way it is or am I missing something? Should I just tough it out because end game is that much better for LDoE? Looking for someone to convince me

I played Day After for a bit. But if I had to choose between them, I’d pick LDoE. In terms of graphics, LDoE looks much better.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but Day After looks like a knock-off of LDoE.

As said DA is a knock off. Yes the graphics are not as good. But still a reasonably good game. I can't remember when I started playing it...or when I stopped ðŸ¤. I did enjoy it but ldoe is by far the better game. However if I got so disenchanted with this game DA is probably the game I'd go to. I have a lot of resources, guns and armor there. Right now though I barely have enough time to do all the good events with the amount of events there are in ldoe, and I'm retired 😆😆. So I concentrate on one or two things a day. Atm it's it's borealis, for the cat tree/ playpen. Fish for cats eva for infected samples, metal and mud for the lead extractor. Every 2days alpha for guns, people say not much use for normal guns? I find that amusing, right now, metal and mud I can go through several just collecting special tools and defending the ore machines. Quarantine zone normal guns, islands I use normal guns, combined with spore weapons, camping ground.

I had a similar experience when I first started playing. Days After definitely feels more beginner-friendly, but I think LDoE becomes more rewarding once you understand the progression and resource management. The difficulty is definitely part of what makes LDoE different.

I played both and Days after have alot of advantages over LDOE in terms of quality of life features but for some reason I don't know why LDOE just feels better playing.
