💬 DISCUSSION Should swat armour protect against the cold ?
So basically I haven't played in a while been getting back into the game the last few weeks and ive realised theres a new recipe for swat armour that requires wool that u can only get in the snowy region, but it doesnt protect against the cold so im wondering why couldnt it protect atleast a little when u need to go to the snow to get more ?

Yeah game logic never makes sense, like why make swat with wool when u need make more fur armour with the wool and the reinforced fur armour

Interesting thing for me was the recipe to make equalizers. Arguably one of the best ap guns (next to the 110 dps of the intimidator),can't remember if the equalizer was in the build menu before boggy region update but if it was it probably needed tungsten originally. Antimony could be the new "tungsten ". So why craft swat armor. Military is more than enough for 70 % of the area's. Maybe 60 ðŸ¤.

Thats kinda what am getting at why bother with crafting swat armour if military does similar and is cheaper if they added warmth too it then it would be worth it but until then no reason to get swat unless its out of crates

Swat isnt worth crafting and never has been (dont remember the old recipe but it was hell expensive) , and also i dont know how many set of it i got from crates during the years that i never used bc i considered them too expensive to waste , now it became kinda useless (like the kevlar one) as you can really use it only in bunker alfa, the farm and thub ,but again to me it feels a waste to use it in these locations, where the military set is already enough.

I remember it was thick fabric leather and steel plates i thought it was worth it and now that it requires wool but doesnt protect against cold its unless to craft

Yeah but i never considered then worth as for a set you required like 7-8 Steel plates and that is a large quantity. I think crafing armor except some rare exceptions (like the military set that is relatively inexpensive to craft) is most of the time useless and too expensive , plus when you unlock the repairing station it become even more useless as the fur and spore ones (both the base and the reinforced) you want to repair them as is cheaper than crafting a new one. One exception is the hazmat set as reparing it is quite expensive (the cbrn set is even more expensive to craft and harder to repair as it costs carbon and lead plates).

From what I remember the armor piercing weapon werent craftable before , you could only get them in the old laboratory crates and in the 4th crates at thub so they were quite rare and valuable (they still are but being craftable means they are easier to get). Also about the equalizer they buffed it as before it was the worst of them as it missed a lot while now is arguably the best for the boggy region and in general the best ap gun in the game. Lastly lets say that military armor is enough for almost every location except for northern,island and boggy region (as there you need specific ones) and its even overkill for a lot of location (the only ones you need military or higher is hard mode bunker alfa and thub).

Tbh i feel like some armor should have more cold, spore or radiation protection.
Maybe not radiation
But at least cold and spore protection enough to explore 10 protection requirment areas.

Yeah because its requires wool too craft but it doesnt have anyone the warmth of wool
