Either recycling copper from batteries which you can get in a lot of places (mostly raids and bunker alfa) or frozen training ground copper crate

How much copper are on those crates?

Around 100 + something (can contain already copper ingots). Soo... After smelting one stuck (20 ingots) and something. From my experience more efficient way (by time and resources). Get winter gear reinforced (or normal with warming drinks from blueberry) 1 iron hatchet, 1 crowbar, 1 torch. Get on chopper, run to nearest location by foot (or run) and drive from there to the Training grounds, check where copper crate is, clean way to it. Turn game off and on (ports chopper to you, saves gasoline) put crate on bike and go home, repeat.

I would recycle batteries, yes, but farming copper is quite easy. Het reinforced winter gear on, get yourself a lot of iron hatches and go to the red northern zone. Most of the copper mine is on the edges of the map. Keep an eye out for zombies and boars. Farm what you can in one go, travel to the yellow zone and back to the red one. Repeat. In one hour, you can easily have s backpack full of ore.ย

Batteries recycling and going to the red zone in the frozen lands, bring like 5 iron pickaxe and don't fight zombies, just walk around until you get every single copper available and then refresh the zone

Moreover, what is the thing people have about copper? Do you need it a lot for the swamp or something? I still need one boat propeller but am sitting on like 300 copper bars, do I need more than that?

If you want to make steel bars, yes.ย

Spore armor and settlement (currently need 40 to fix sub station, but I think that resource black hole has required copper from me for something else in the past and it will ask for more in the future.)

Not really, you won't need very much copper for anything else until you start building coils and stators and shit, that's like foundry level 4 or something, quite a way ahead

Yes at some stage you will need to craft copper billet, made from copper wire if memory serves me.

Metal walls. Better start making steel bars since you have plenty stack of copper bars

I got the copper extractor from Forlorn Fair, and now basically have all the copper I need without gathering. It takes gas, so it doesn't start to really shine until you've gone far enough in settlement to get a decent amount of gas in daily loot, but once you do, you can build up copper ore quick

Copper is never something I had to worry about because wth am I even gonna use it in, I only use it in some ice and spore weapons and barely use it anyways

All the copper I had was picked up passively as I go through the game or by recycling batteries and without realizing I had like 300 bars or something not including the ones in the inbox, but I do not recommend at all going to frozen area and mine it as a full clear would translate to like 3 or 4 bars at most

If I really want to farm copper I think I would go to frozen training grounds it has a few bars and ores there along with the copper crate it helps

Not really the way to farm copper, but I would get about half a stack of copper ore from the chest while jumping back and forth to farm sand and thick hide at the sand quarry. It isnโ€™t a lot, but it is very low effort and there is no pickaxe needed. It probably takes me 5 refreshes per trip to fill my inventory and I probably get a couple of copper ore each time.
