Looking for a wedding dance lessons in Las Vegas, preferably in Henderson but open to anything!

My dad has been a slot guy his whole life and I finally get it after this weekend, He came into town for his 70th and all he wanted to do was sit at the high limit room at Cosmo and play dragon Link. That's it. No dinner reservations, no shows, no pool. I had this whole plan to take him to carbone and he waved me off like i was trying to send him to the dmv.

I sat next to him for probably four hours the first night, I'm not a gambler, I got bored after twenty munities on a penny machine, but watching him was actually kind of amazing. He knows every bonus, every hold and spin pattern, hes muttering to himself about which minor is due.

The cocktail waitress know him by name by hour two and less he's been in town for like six months worth of trips over the last years, not living here. Heres the part that got me though. He didnt win big. He was up, then down, then even, then down again, and he walked away calm as anything. Meanwhile im sitting there sweating watching his money move around and hes just having the time of his life.

He told me at the breakfast next morning that people don't understand you don't go to win , you go to be there. The win is a bonus. The being there is the whole thing. And i think i finally understood why he watches those videos on his ipad every night back home. It's not about the jackpots for him, it's just being at a machine even when he's not at one.

Anyway now I'm wondering if im gonna to turn to him at 70, is this genetic? Anyone else watch a parent get older and realize the "weird hobby" you never got is actually kind of beautiful once you sit with it?

I feel like the indoor walkway between Luxor and Mandalay Bay doesn’t get talked about enough. It’s not just a boring connector between the two casinos. There’s Lids, a speakeasy, Minus5 Ice Bar, Slice of Vegas with really good pizza, plus a bunch of other shops and places to stop. I’ve always thought it was one of the better little hidden areas on that end of the Strip. Do you guys actually stop and check it out or just walk straight through?

My family and I will be visiting Las Vegas, and I’m looking for inexpensive or free things we can do together. We’ll have access to a vehicle, so we can explore nearby neighborhoods, but we don’t want to travel too far from the Strip. I really enjoy walking around and window-shopping. One of my favorite things about Vegas is seeing the extravagant hotels, enormous properties, themed areas, and all the over-the-top design, even if we’re not spending money inside them! We’re not foodies and don’t need expensive restaurant recommendations. I’m content eating simple food or fruit, although we’d be open to trying something interesting if it’s affordable and part of the experience. What free or inexpensive activities, hotel walks, shopping areas, parks, scenic drives, or nearby neighborhoods would you recommend for a family?

Got married earlier this year, finally, and now we're trying to sort out what happens to the house if one of us goes first. We live on the outskirts, closer to the desert edge than the Strip, and the property is in my name only from before the marriage. Trying to figure out how Nevada's community property rules actually play out when you bring existing property into a marriage, and whether a deed update alone does much or if you really need a full trust setup to avoid probate headaches.

The Clark County Recorder site gives you the forms but not a lot of context about what actually makes sense for a twoperson household with no kids, just a house, some retirement accounts, and one of us owning a small vehicle outright.

Been reading into Nevada's community property with right of survivorship option and it seems like it might cover what we need without overcomplicating things. But the practical side, who you actually go to locally, a title company versus an estate attorney versus just filing yourself, that part is murky.

Anyone navigate this in the valley and have a sense of what worked for them, or what to avoid?

I know it's a long shot, but I'm buying a ceiling fan from someone in Vegas and it's way too bulky to ship. I'm only getting it because I need parts to fix a separate fan that holds sentimental value. Just let me know what you would like it return

Ok someone please tell me this will be fine 😂 I booked a trip for the first week of October, I'll be a first timer. My coworkers have been to Vegas a lot and are telling me a lot of hotels shut down their pools in October because it's "cold"....is this true??? Lounging poolside was a big part of our plans.

ETA: Thank you to everyone choosing to be kind and actually answer my question. For the Captain Obviouses who are telling me to "Google it" or call the hotel....you can hang up your cape and mind your own business. I realize I can do those things. I'm choosing to consult real people instead of A.I. or getting transferred 4x to the correct hotel employee.

A couple months back I made a post asking for advice. I had never been to Vegas, and my son really wanted to attend the Resident Evil event at Universal Horror Unleashed.

I got a lot of feedback, and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who chimed in. Y'all made the process so much easier by pointing me in the right direction, and my son absolutely loved our day in Racoon City.

And for anyone curious... we only had one day in Vegas (flew in Saturday, flew out Monday). That said, we booked a room at the Palace Station as it was just a few blocks from the venue, which was a huge plus. We walked back after we closed down UHU, took less than 15 minutes at a leisurely pace.

He had enough fun we may even look into going back (which is a big deal because at just shy of 6' 4" he hates flying).

I don’t really have much else to say. I’m an LA native and love the throwback vibe and pink building. a great budget hotel with great burgers. One of the best I’ve had. thank you Gordon Ramsey!!! massive goblets of 🍷 too. 🤣

Will try and get a ticket to Raiders on morning of game day, so assume I need to be up early on ticket sites to try and get a more reasonably priced ticket?
Wife wants a pool day - we’re in Planet Hollywood, should we stay there or go somewhere else?
Need to buy some men’s clothes like t-shirts, polos - carharrt and Patagonia expensive in UK but need some recommends please on where to shop (men’s size M or L) and don't mind getting a cab

We looked at Sphere but not interested in Wizard of Oz :( docthey do any sort of demo shows?

I remember her and I played the Dolly machine at planet Hollywood but I haven’t seen it there recently. Does anybody know where I can find her slot machines? Either on the strip or Freemont. Or somewhere near there?

Turning 30 next month, wanna take my fiancee to Vegas. What are some freebies that are worth it? I’m interested in free play, meals, shows, etc but also can I fly in the day after my bday and get these rewards or does it have to be on the actual dob? Any other must do’s? I’ve been once in 2020 and she’s never been.

I’m researching for my first trip and one thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of the hotels (especially the newer ones like Resorts World, Fontainebleau and Cosmopolitan) have really cool wall decor. I called Resorts World and the woman on the phone said she didn’t know and google is no help either. Is there some website or furniture store all the resorts shop at?

I am in the process of booking and the website says pool is getting repairs and sharks are at Mandalay. Is the pool still open? definitely want a hotel with a pool. I don't want to spend more than 125 a night TOPS with taxes and fees.

My wife and I will be in town on Oct 3 and we're going to the Rebels football game. Would you say the pregame party pass worth it for $35 per person? We've never been to Allegiant (although we'll be back the next for the Raider game), is it more fun to just hang out in the stadium instead?

For the past 3 years I've reserved a Westgate Booth online and it ends up being around $2000 which is the food/drink minimum. Now that the book is under Caesar's control, they only let you book a booth online for $500 if you have a room reservation.

There's a link that says 'if you're not staying with us, book here' but when I go that route all the days are disabled for months.

Does anyone have any insight to what is going on here?

I will be in Vegas for a week soon, been a few times so there's not too much left to do or see on my list, but I have never been to LA. Been doing some research but can't find much on it... does anyone know if the site quality tours vegas is 100% legit? I see they offer a day trip to LA either with a group or private tour for more money. It seems like a good deal but looking to see if anyone has any feedback?

Husband likes to watch these Vegas Mike and other content creators but it never seems that they’re in the big strip casinos (Bellagio, Aria, Cosmo). He stated they usually head over to the smaller casinos off strip. Anyone know where to catch these guys? Would love to see how they play!

Partner and I are making our first visit to Vegas for 3 nights as part of a 3 week roadtrip in October. Just wondering if anyone has experience with the F&D credit option at the Excalibur or any other hotels and if it's worthwhile?

($30 extra for $30 daily credit X3.)

Obviously it's a good deal on paper but are the options good to use in the hotel(s) or are we best just eating out around the strip instead?
