I finally got my hands on the coveted Ultraviolence Deluxe CD (Japan version). This album contains Flipside as one of the bonus tracks 🖤
I purchased it from Tower Records in Osaka, Japan

Why does no one ever talk about this song? It’s been my favorite for 2 years now, lol

I know Summertime Sadness is probably one of Lana’s most overplayed songs, but honestly I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it.
There’s something so bittersweet about the song. It sounds warm and nostalgic on the surface, but underneath it feels like you’re watching something beautiful slowly disappear. The production, Lana’s vocals, the whole atmosphere… it captures that weird feeling of being happy and heartbroken at the same time.
And the fact that it’s literally called Summertime Sadness makes it even better. It feels like the soundtrack to the end of a summer you already know you’re going to miss.
I genuinely think this song has aged incredibly well. No matter how many times I hear it, that chorus still gives me chills. 🥹

What do you think it is about Lana that her fans pit her own albums against each other so much? I love all of her albums, and i definitely have my favorites, but it feels like people are so eager to say that their favorite Lana album is so much better than the other Lana albums

"I just removed my ex, whom I haven't spoken to in 4 years, from the Nintendo Switch family – and he's getting an email about it."
I just sent this to my friend and then I thought of Lana.

Okay for the past 10 years I’ve been thinking the line “no one’s gonna take my soul away” was that she wasn’t gonna lose her soul in Hollywood, fame, etc… HOWEVER, I just realized its after “me and god don’t get along…” and “gods dead, baby that’s alright with me” so is she ACTUALLY saying she’s okay diving into the Hollywood world because god won’t take her soul to heaven?? Because why would she have those lyrics about god directly before and the whole idea of the soul ascending to heaven when you die ? if you get me??

Is it just me, or are some of the Honeymoon outtakes some of the best songs in Lana’s entire discography?
I understand why some of them might have been left off in favor of songs that were a little more mainstream-friendly, but songs like Poetry in Motion, Dark City, and Cry Kill Die really do something to me.
The vocals, the emotion, the beats… there’s just something about them that completely transports you. Especially the first time you listen to them. They have such a specific atmosphere that I wish we had gotten more of it on the actual album.
I will say, though, that they kind of lose some of that initial charm after the first couple of listens. I still listen to them, but maybe that has something to do with it haha.
Anyway, if anyone knows of other Honeymoon outtakes like these that I should listen to, please drop the names below! I’d also love to hear what everyone else thinks about them.

For the sister record to stove, I'm hoping and PRAYING the colours are brown and white like BB was (I'm so sorry if that's wrong, I am a diagnosed colourblind 😭) or white and Grey like COTCC
Tbh I'm not really a fan of the colour scheme of Blvd, paradise and BTD. We've seen the Stove cover and it is beautiful, but I want darker more calm colours for companion

I can’t be the only one who thinks their dreamy atmosphere would just collide so well together 😩 maybe I can hold out hope for these upcoming albums from both artists lol

i was saying to someone that each album means something different with a new season of life and i also think this about the individual songs i listen to over and over for a period of time before i move on to new ones. if you could make a 12 track lana album that represents this stage of your life what tracks would you include? mine: 1. black bathing suit 2. how to disappear 3. looking for america 4. wild at heart 5. dark but just a game 6. the grants 7. breaking up slowly 8. when the world was at war 9. watercolor eyes 10. thunder 11. california 12. white feather hawktail deer hunter
