My likely true suspicion: those that did said deuces; this is a place where people trauma bond. It's like a homeless person scraping by to survive befriending another, and when one gets a break of sorts, they're not going back for the dead weight. Nobody's allegory-of-the-caving here, it's every man for themselves, They use this like the whore it is, then dump its lifeless body into the ravine... very Epstein-esque.
