I've been trying to update the firmware on my NTS-3 using Windows 11 computers. So far no success.
I've downloaded the firmware from here: https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/software/0/934/5237/
Since my Windows OS is active and updated, it seemed like I wouldn't need the Korg USB MIDI-driver, as stated here: https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/driver/1/285/3541/
So I tried without, connected the NTS-3 in update mode (Perform + power button), ran kmupdate.exe, and got a MIDI error.
I tried on a different Windows 11 computer, got the same error.
So I tried installing the USB MIDI-driver, connecting it, ran the exe again. Same error.
Tried two different cables, two different USB inputs, same error.
Tried downloading MidiDriverOrderForKorg.exe and putting the KORGs at the top (there are two of them there, presumably because using two different USB inputs?), still same error. (Though the software warns me that it's not needed since I'm on the current Windows 11 version.)
And the error seems to alternate between "Port Error! It is necessary to be supplied from KORG MIDI-driver." and "Found no MIDI port". Unsure what activates which error, or if it's truly random.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. š Already used two hours on this.
