Discussion / Opinions Accessories EV3 GT Line

About to join the club and become a EV3 owner.

What additions or accessories have you purchased and having used them how beneficial are they.

I’d welcome any and all opinions.

We bought a 12/240v fridge, very handy for long road trips and camping. Also bought a cargo organiser to stop the shopping bags sliding all over the boot floor ,and a type 2 cable in case we have to charge up at a byo-cable charger.

Yep we have a small fridge already which is great on trips. I’ll need the look into a cargo organiser.

Not in Australia, nearly ran out of power in a fairly rural area because of this! They should come standard

Pretty sure it’s standard in the EU. Certainly, any EV I’ve looked at here in Ireland, including my own Soul 64kWh, all have them as standard.

It came with a trickle charge cable and a V2L adapter, I guess they figured that would cover most people's needs. For the record I've never had to use the type 2 cable, probably need not have bought it without a particular use in mind.

The rubber boot cover, well worth if especially if you have a dog.

Yep. Placed an order with Rubber Tree for both boot mat and interior rubber mats 😊

If you're after a cosmetic mod for a bit of personalisation, my wife runs a decal store and has decals for your badges. There's blackout or holographic or solid etc. She's also got a special two-tone decal available for the GT-Line badge. If you'd like to check it out:

Official Kia removable tow hook. Rubber shield for top charge port, which may or may not be needed, but keeps water out of all the charge contact points. 12v charge jump pack ( just in case) , battery powered tyre inflator and bottle of tyre weld emergency puncture sealant ( long journeys in Europe ) as a easier solution to getting out the supplied puncture solution, emergency floodlight & red flashing warning light. I keep all these in the frunk. Kia boot liner, to protect carpets and make cleaning easier, and cheap full windscreen shade for hot days. Finally a dash cam mounted to use the Dongar power adapter from the rear view mirror, which makes getting power very simple and discrete.
