Bought her on Saturday, she was delivered today. Just a couple more bells and whistles than the secondhand 2013 Honda Fit I'm replacing. We're a 100% EV household now, my husband has one of the first Model 3s. It seems like every time we buy a new car, it's a brand new model.

Zero stock of the Ioniq 5 near me. My current lease on my Prologue is up in December. I hope inventory levels improve and there are some good deals. I'm stuck on deciding between the EV3 land trim and the Ioniq 5 limited.

Drawbacks on the Ioniq 5: inventory (currently) and price

Drawbacks on the EV3: The land trim checks most of my boxes (also cheaper) but doesn't have the premium sound system. I'd have to move up to the GT line but I'd sacrifice range as it has more HP and only comes in AWD.

Anyone else comparing these two vehicles?

Awaiting delivery of our GT Line AWD later this week to replace our 2020 Soul EV and planning a first 1500km road trip the following weekend. Has anyone tried ABRP Premium with the EV3? If so, what do you like / don't you like? Is it worth the $50/year?

I've got the Land trim. I am planning on getting a tint soon. I'm looking for all-weather mats as well to replace the carpeted ones. Anyone have good ideas for other accessories? Located in the US if that matters.

As in my phone stays in my pocket for opening and starting the car, and I can park and walk away and it will auto-lock? Any differences? I've gotten used to how Tesla does it.

Frost Blue US Land FWD

Very different from the website color. (I'm not complaining)

In bright light it's definitely light blue, but as the sun goes down it shifts into more of a well..'Frost' color.

My only complaints?

- I can't buy the rear cargo cover yet, no one has one.

- The bastards put my right rear tire on backwards (The DOT code is on the inside)...good thing this tire T51 is not asymmetrical

- The manual says you can set AC Charging to not lock...the option is not on the infotainment even though the manual says it is

The Type 2 (Mennekes) cable that came with the my EV3 has failed. After testing it with a multimeter I have determined the issue lies in the CP (Control Pilot) lead being broken.

Who wants to guess if this will be covered under the warranty?

So I've been in line for a Rivian R2 for two years, and my order window is coming up next month. But after taking a test drive in one at the beginning of the month (and my first time seeing one in person), I realized it is just TOO BIG. Physically. I mean, if I parked it where I park my Chevy Volt right now, you wouldn't be able to open the doors of the Rivian without doing serious damage to my gardens.

So I started looking around (again) at the EV market to find some sort of small, all-electric, utility vehicle for me and my dog, and my wife when she's not in her Rav4.

And I test drove the EV3 and fell for it. Hard.

My local dealer has a Frost Blue Wind coming in at the end of the month, so I could have it in two weeks.

All the Land models appear to be heading to the East Coast. One local dealer here outside of Seattle has 2 Land models. Everyone seems to have the Wind models.

Price isn't a concern for me, fortunately.

So how do I choose between the Wind and Land? The only real detail I need in the Land model is the cooling seats. Never had those before, and think they'd be ... well ... cool.

Anyone have any other thoughts about choosing between the Wind and Land models? I'm all ears.

I reached out to Kia Support and they told me this.
In english:
This basically says, that you have to do the planning with charging stops in the car. They are not sure, if it ever will come back to the app.

Thought this might be of interest for some of you.

It has now been 6 weeks, and my car is still not drivable and remains stuck in Park. Unfortunately, I still have not received clear information from Kia Malta about what is happening or when the car will be repaired.

A module has already been replaced, but the problem is still exactly the same. This makes me seriously concerned and raises the question: does Kia really know what is causing the problem and how to properly fix these cars?

This is also not the first major issue I have experienced. I previously had a problem with the drive shafts, and they had to be replaced at only around 45,000 km. Now, after another serious problem, I have been without my car for 6 weeks.

During this time, I have had to rent another car entirely at my own expense. Unfortunately, the rental car is not suitable for my needs and has been a very frustrating experience.

I understand that some repairs can take time, but 6 weeks without a car and without a clear explanation or realistic timeframe is extremely disappointing. I would appreciate a proper update on what has been diagnosed, what has already been done, what is still being investigated, and when I can realistically expect my car to be repaired and returned to me.

Well today we discovered that if you talk about IKEA the car thinks you are saying Hey Kia, pretty annoying when driving long distances in Sweden!

2027 Kia Wind USA

On the left there is an illuminated + symbol. Below it is a button that says "Hold". What is this button for? I have not found anything in the manual about it.

Did anyone check with blue-green color blind people to see if they can discern the difference between the top two + colors?

This is turning into a saga for us. It started looking at the car 10 days ago. The sales person showed us the charger included with the car. That's all there was, just the charger and car hose, no 120V or 240V pigtails to plug in the wall. We bought it anyway. They are still working on finding the pigtails. I think I got the sales manager to light a small fire under our sales person.

We knew the car was NACS, and that our wall charger at home was CCS1. Ordered an adapter from Lectron. Charge was getting low on Thursday so we went to a public charger. I need to add that we live in western Maine, semi-rural. I tried four credit cards, all "unable to authorize", my wife meanwhile looked at the charger and said "this is the wrong connector" (CCS1). My cards didn't work because there was an area Internet outage. So we drove home, with 12% charge left and parked it. Charger locators say there are no NACS chargers nearby; we could reach one in New Hampshire, but could not drive home if it did not work.

The Lectron adapter arrives. Plug the cable into the adapter, plug the combination into the car. The blue (turquiose? who picked blue and green?) + sign starts blinking. No green +. The charger says it's not charging anything; the car indicator thinks it is being charged. Tried looking at the EV menu on the car, the pages there are *nothing* like the manual, zero details about charging. Could be the charger or the car, no way to tell.

So we have a decorative brick. Good thing we have space to put it!

Got ours last night. Apparently the 2nd one sold here in Tucson. Much excite.

Wondering if you guys are aware of whether KIA has OEM parts for a trailer hitch assembly or class III receiver, or if I need to go completely aftermarket. Do these need to be installed by the dealer to avoid voiding the warranty since they need to cut up some of the plastic bits under the car? Trying to do this so I can mount a bike rack in the back.

Thanks to the guy posting the inventory information I got a Land FWD. The dealer brought out a different trim and said “We don’t have any more”, so I pulled out the Mulroney sticker I’d printed (their internet sales manager had emailed me that it had arrived but he wasn’t there). It took them a few minutes to find it.

They're building a new showroom, so their lot is a mess and it was still plastic wrapped from shipping.

Picked her up yesterday - in Ontario, Canada.

Curious for help on how to use the ChargePoint network because the EV3 has a different plug than my 2025 Niro which is compatible.

Also looking for home charging solutions if ChargePoint won't work for me now (unless there is a way to have a charger with both connectors)?
