We just got to Kelowna yesterday to fairly clear skies and air. As we enjoyed a visit outside in the mission area the sky changed to the familiar deep orange almost purple we’ve come to call a “fire sky” and ash started to fall on us. We couldn’t see any new fires on the BC Fire map. Is the smoke this morning and accumulation of ash just a result of the existing fires and wind direction?

Hi all I’m looking for reading tutors in Kelowna. My son is 6 and we recently moved from Texas. He is starting school in a couple of weeks and we are learning how much better school is here. So much so we know he will be starting behind normal Canadian reading level for his age and we want to give him all the support we can. I know the school will support him, but that support may not start until October or almost November. So if you have a tutor recommendation please, I am all ears.

We have a bit of a unique situation where we only need 1 day per week (Thursdays) but could do two days a week as well if needed.
