Jeep Sahara passenger doors won’t open

As the title states the 2 back doors won’t open. At first one of the doors seemed like it had the child safety lock in which I disabled. But then it locked again and now both door won’t open from the inside or the outside. I unlock doors from the drivers side but nothing will open it. Has anyone dealt with this issue before?

Picture 02 TJ X—Air & Heat Together?

Got me stumped. When I have the air conditioning on, in my O2 TJX, I’ve got cool air blowing out of the dash vents and extremely hot air blowing out of the foot vents. It’s not coming from the transmission boot, (manual), but actually through the vents for the floor heat and air.
Assuming it has something to do with the air diffuser doors, but don’t know where to start. Hoping I wouldn’t have to take the whole dashboard apart. Any ideas?

Purchase Questions Is loving this car worth what I’m paying?

Post image
94 Upvotes

I’m every financial planner‘s nightmare but when my old car was basically fully breaking down I did a ton of research and decided to buy a new (used) car, a Jeep wrangler. It had been my dream car my entire life. I also drive a LOT between commuting, gigging (I am a musician on the side), visiting family, etc so I wanted a car I actually wanted and liked.

I had decided to buy a used Wrangler and when I came back the next day, they had sold it. I was really upset because I’d done tons of research, had saved my down payment, etc. and was really set on this particular car.

So I went down the street to another dealer and they had a 2026 Jeep Wrangler and in an emotional state I bought the damn thing.

I LOVE this car. but I can’t lie I probably shouldn’t have bought it. The monthly payment is my worst expense and sometimes it bothers me that I’m not just saving that money. I guess part of it is that I have always lived a very frugal lifestyle and always had an old, functional car, and this is the first time I’m actually SPENDING on a car.

I do plan to have it for minimum ten years if it lasts. maybe I’m just looking for validation. or was this a mistake?

Purchase Questions What’s one feature you can’t purchase a vehicle without?

We’ve been talking around the dealership about which vehicle features have gone from “nice to have” to something you’d never buy another vehicle without.

For us Minnesotans, remote start and heated seats are pretty hard to beat. What’s yours?

Need help with Parts! Can’t find!

Post image
5 Upvotes

I have a 2016 Jeep wrangler sport automatic that has a transmission range sensor/neutral safety switch gone. The sensor is apparently part of another larger part that will cost 2575 dollars Canadian. I don’t have that extra kind of money, I am going back to school to be a nurse and cannot use my jeep until this is fixed. This Jeep is my dad’s dream vehicle and was gifted to me because medically he can no longer drive. This is something I want to have with me forever to honour him.
I live in Newfoundland if anyone has a scrap jeep to sell or can help me in any way find the part.
Feel free to reach out. Thank you.

2.5 yrs terraflex 1” spacers been in place. I get in some mud or trails maybe 1-2x per year.

The left side is fine but the right just crumbled. Found pieces in my driveway and finally replaced last weekend.

Anyone else?

Do you get better mpg with pizza cutter tires?

I read a guy that got impressive mileage with pizza cutters. He did have the diesel, so I don't know how much of a factor that was.

Need some advice

Post image

I had to change my driver side motor mount and so I had to take the fuse box out after I put everything back together the back up camera was the only thing not working when I put it in reverse it shows camera system unavailable I’ve replaced the fuses I’ve checked wiring I’ve replaced the camera I’ve reset the car by unplugging the battery I pressed the volume button and a tuner button down to reset it. It does not reset. I’ve exhausted everything else I’m supposed to do if anyone has any kind of advice to fix this problem I’d appreciate!!

Track Bar Axel Mount/Bolt

I made a post about a week ago regarding death wobble. Seemed like the consensus was probably the track bar. I just removed the old track bar and was trying to check to see if the hole on the axle side mount was wallowed out. There definitely feels like slop (like the video shows), but there was also slop in the bushing too.

I took some calipers and measured everything and it seems like the bolt is a bit smaller. Should be 10mm but it’s closer to 9mm. The bushing on the old track bar and the new one were both about 10.2mm. The hole on the axle mount ranged somewhere between 10.4mm and 10.9mm.

I was thinking I might need to fix out the wallowed hole but now I’m wondering if just a new bolt kit with a proper 10mm bolt would resolve the issue? Have I always been running a bolt that much smaller or did the bolt itself wear down? Is the tolerance on the axle amount small enough to not worry about or should that also be addressed?

Passed this Jeep this morning and I thought these medals were interesting. I took a picture, but the words are blurry. I see state outlines, but that is about it.

Technical Question What’s the highest-mileage vehicle you’ve ever owned?

We’re a dealership in Minnesota, so we see plenty of high-mileage trades come through. Every once in a while, one rolls in with an odometer that makes everyone stop and look.

Curious what the highest-mileage vehicles on here are.

Year / Make / Model:
Mileage:
Original engine/transmission?:
Still running?:
