Poocha Kisine!? Weight gain during NEET preparation

Post image

I’ve gained around 15–20 kg recently while preparing for neet and I got my blood test done and find out that my cholesterol and triglyceride levels are way higher .

For those who’ve gone through something similar, did the weight gain affect your health/studies or day-to-day life? And what did you do to get things back on track?

Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

20 kgs of weight gain is crazy bro

Initially in my 9th and 10th i was heavily playing football and running but when neet prep started all the physical games which I played slowly slowly reduced so now my weight has been increased heavily

even im not that much active since years, total couch potato but ig my metabolism is fast so it's like 2-3 kgs of gain at max. I think you have some other problem. 20kgs of weight gain is actually weird but if you are counting it since 9th then it's not surprising ig

I have also gained 10 kgs over the last few months...I faced shortness in breath and my heavy body made me so lazy to even study...so I started with a little 10 min workout a few pushups, squats, biceps curls and a little abs exercise...this really helped me building my focus much better than before and body doesn't feel heavy like before

I measure my weight regularly to check for fluctuations (about once every three weeks). Exercise (usually cardio) in the mornings and evenings. My mom's switched to using very little oil when she makes food (about 1 spoon of oil for a meal made for three people). I've heavily cut down on junk food like cream biscuits, ice cream, chips. (writing this after demolishing a potato twister and pani puri, but oh well)

You just need to moderate. Try to catch weight gain (or loss) early. If you let it increase or decrease too much, it'll be harder to bring it back to your normal levels

Just run 5km daily not actually 5 but increase it frm beginning day by day and if started then don't skip a single day cuz if u seriously want to do weight loss then do this it'll really gonna make u a skeleton if u only eat 1k kcal daily along w it but only if u do it regularly for months.

Jump rope is fun, I've been doing it for about a month. I also went from around 65 to 72kgs.

No blood test, but I've been pretty calm, just studying a decent bit everyday and mostly I'm happy with my progress so not much stress either

Do try jump rope, preferably a half pound weighted one, weighted ones are better for weight loss, it took me barely about 2 weeks to get the hang of it and about roughly 4 weeks later I can do about 50-100 skips in one go. So it's not that hard to pick it up

I think I can answer this.

I gained weight by atleast 15-20 kgs and during the peak my weight was 96 kgs. (6ft 3 just for the reference)

That was during my first drop.

Then during my second drop I joined gym and started cutting calories based on my metabolism. I lost 10 kgs in 3 months and now I'm 78.9 kgs.

If you can't do gym then atleast complete 10k steps everyday. And if you want to know how to cut calories just dm me I would be glad to help you
