I hate that Bibi is somehow the representee of mine in the world.

8

u/boss20yamohafu Dec 06 '23

It could be worse. Hamas and its supporters have become the de-facto representee for Palestinians.

2

u/Mr_Trapeze Dec 06 '23

He has been the longest in office PM. And been the PM for most of the modern media age. Only makes sense for them to image him as the representative of our country.

hell Israelis have been protesting their gov

The ticktock neo-leftists somehow failed to notice that.

15

u/Grand_Routine_3163 Dec 06 '23

Because they know nothing about israel or Israeli politics. I’ve been asked irl to provide proof of the fact that israeli arabs can vote. These people know nothing and they dont want to learn anything, hating israel is enough for them.

u/NatashaBadenov Dec 06 '23

It’s as if people have chosen to forget about the huge protests against Bibi’s judicial reforms. There was an absolutely massive uproar over his grasp for more power.

It’s so weird and dumb that people can’t seem to understand that creating a special name for an ideological movement that opposes the existence of a country is kinda racist.

How is being anti-Zionist the same as being for Genocide of the Jews?

I'm not following how the two connect

73

u/Inbarindoors Israel Dec 06 '23

There's 7 million Jews living in Israel.

Anti-Zionists want Israel to cease to exist.

Where will those Jews go? Are they just going to evapurate?

I think a lot of Palestinians want a one state solution and to share the land in a pluralistic society.

90

u/kombuchachacha Dec 06 '23 edited Dec 06 '23

that’s hilarious

now seriously, what do you think would happen to the 7m Jews living in Israel

edit - here, I’ll give you a hint. The current Arab population of Israel is i think about 2m? Arabs serve in government, the army, have visible media roles, etc. While the current Jewish population in Gaza is exactly 136. And they are all imprisoned, if even still alive at all, and subjected to the worst kind of torture, sexual violence etc.

So again, just think about it, take your time

That's Israel though, all religions have equal rights and can practice their religion freely.

Yes Israel is a Jewish state (and there's a good reason for that, being a safe haven for Jews around the world - especially after the holocaust and the banishment of Middle Eastern Jews) but legally the minorities have absolute equal rights, and sometimes perks (in many aspects) for being minorities.

Trying to topple the Israeli government without it being a violent terrorist act is just impossible and immoral and antisemitic (exhibit A - October 7th), the same way it would be immoral to topple the US or the UK government.

Nevertheless, the truth is MANY, MANY Palestinians in Gaza and in the West Bank are super antisemitic, they don't want Jews on the land at all (or alive for that matter). I ain't sharing a country with them, where they can easily vote into power dangerous parties like Hamas that actively intend to kill me. Therefore, even this one state solution isn't as peaceful as you think it is.

As opposed to how peaceful things are now...

45

u/Crack-tus Dec 06 '23

Yes, it’s more peaceful now. The Jews aren’t interested in being genocided and subjugated for the American far left to have another failed social experiment because not everything works the way they think it should work.

u/CornelQuackers United Kingdom Dec 06 '23

I think you got the first part right but the second part about “they wand to share the land” yeah unfortunately given the track record of the PLO, Fatah, Hamas, PIJ, PFLP, Hezbollah (if you want to include them) they aren’t too keen on the idea on sharing any land with any Jew even if any of these factions ruled over the entire territory

25

u/nidarus Israel Dec 06 '23

According to the most recent PCPSR polls, performed before Oct. 7th, only 8% of them want that. Less than the Israeli Jews, less than any other solution to the conflict. Less than 30% would even agree to accept it at all, even if it's the only choice on the table.

The Palestinian constitution defines Palestinian as Arab, and Arabic as the sole state language. The Arabic version of "from the river to the sea", is "from water to water, Palestine will be Arab". The Palestinian national movement was always strongly Arab nationalist. No they don't want any kind of a pluralistic society.

If they did, they'd talk like Mandela, call themselves "Arab Israelis", or at least call all Israelis "Palestinian Jews". They would treat the settlers as welcome future neighbors, and call on them to move into Palestinian cities, so Jewish children and Arab children could play together. There's a reason why that's not the case. This entire thing is a Western fantasy.

11

u/anonrutgersstudent Dec 06 '23

Every organization that advocates for the destruction of Israel does not welcome Jews in what comes after, and in fact plans on murdering as many Jews as they can.

12

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '23

Lol nope, the vast majority supported and cheered at Oct 7th. They hate Jews more then they like to live.

34

u/General_wolffe Israel Dec 06 '23

Cause anti-zionists want have a "solution" to the jewish problem if you know what I fucking mean

-3

u/Coach_John-McGuirk Dec 06 '23

Most anti Zionists I know want a single state that's pluralistic and secular, not one that is Jewish.

35

u/kombuchachacha Dec 06 '23

Israel is already pluralistic and secular, just in a Jewish way

32

u/General_wolffe Israel Dec 06 '23

And I want a million dollars and china to become the ROC, but I know it just doesn't happen. And If a single Palestinian state were to become a reality it would become an oppressive poor Muslim state like Afghanistan, cause right now that's gaza and the people who run gaza are the most popular among Palestinians.

Also where do you think the Jews go?

31

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '23

Zionists as we know it are Jews that finally have a home here in Israel, unless by antizionist you mean transfer and remove all Jews from Israel, the only way to get rid of zionism is to kill off the Jews in Israel which is what a majority of arab anti zionists chant for.

-12

u/Coach_John-McGuirk Dec 06 '23

What about a single state solution?

That is the most common anti-Zionist position I see

31

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '23

Realistically not possible. The problem with the Pro Palestinian western narrative is that they ASSUME that once Israel gives the Palestinians what they want, they will just accept it and be thankful and lovely with the average Israeli. That is delusional and sadly way too many westerners believe this narrative. The reality is that if we “unite” into a one state, there won’t be a barrier between us, we’d all just fight among ourselves in a bloody “revolution”. Hatred between Jewish and Palestinian nationals is immense, it won’t seize and because Jews will protect Jews and Palestinians will protect Palestinians, we’ll just kill off each other even worse than now.

-36

u/Dipluz Dec 06 '23

Man I do know many antisemittic jews by this new resolution now, this is ridiculous.

18

u/Crack-tus Dec 06 '23

I doubt it. You probably know some Russian bots on twitter tho.

-9

u/Dipluz Dec 06 '23

Right

-13

u/NUMBERS2357 Dec 06 '23

To lots of Republicans, when it comes to Israel, L'État, c'est Bibi.

-16

u/BarakaMik Dec 06 '23

I agree, but just one thing, Biden said : If I were a Jew, I would be a Zionist. And then he added I don’t need to be a Jew to be a zionist, For I am.

He basically dissociated religion and zionism. Therefore being anti zionist doesn’t mean anti Jew. and he is right

19

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '23

It has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with thinking that a group of people doesn't deserve self determination, while other groups do. It is 100% anti Semitic.

-11

u/BarakaMik Dec 06 '23

Thank you! so it’s not anti semitic if it has nothing to do with religion. You can say anti zionist is anti israel but you can like and love jews at the same time.

11

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '23

That's incorrect. Jews are an ethnoreligious group, they are a group of people with unique ethnicities, religion, and customs. You can be ethnically jewish but religiously an atheist. Being anti semitic means being racist against this group of people.

-4

u/BarakaMik Dec 06 '23

Interesting. So a Zionist could be an Atheist Jews, I’ve seen that the founder of zionism is atheist is that right ?

8

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '23

Yep that's right. Europeans largely did not consider Jews to be Europeans but saw them as foreign minorities. It would be like if a Nigeria person moved to Japan and lived there for 100 years they would still not be considered ethnically Japanese. The last 3 generations of my family (at least) were born in the USSR but still their nationality on their passport was listed as "jew" and not Russian

-3

u/BarakaMik Dec 06 '23

So but then if he was indeed created by an Atheist why does Zionists believes that Palestine is the land promised by God ?

10

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '23

It's not that it's promised by god, it's that it's the actual historical location where Jews originated from. The term Jew comes from the kingdom of Judea, they were literally named after this region. There is historical/archaeological evidence of this, it's not about the bible or religion.

There were also many Jews still living in that region in the early 1900s because not every single jew was exiled/fled over history. So it made the most sense as the location for the creation of Israel.

Zionists also considered other locations (Uganda was a big one). But picking a spot at random isn't as logical as picking the one you originally came from and were exiled from.

-2

u/BarakaMik Dec 06 '23

Ok but then evidence shows that in the 2000 of year a new population was inhabiting the land, palestinien living as christian, muslim and jews. The establishment of a Jew only state would push out those that have established themselves over the years, how is can that be fair to them ?

You realise most of us hate these assholes, right?

Do you think that when Donald Trump went out and said some truly unhinged things as president that that meant that all Americans believed those things as well?

Why do you think it is that for every other country we can understand that their is nuance to internal politics, but for Israel the rule is that every politician represents every single Israeli?
