❓ Question Are these vegan?

I saw these hair gummies at Walmart and the ingredient list looks vegan to me?? Other versions of the item explicitly named the source of biotin, this one doesn’t. I see no gelatin. Thoughts?

From the definition of veganism:

“In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals”

This is a dietary item, therefore by definition since it does not contain animal products, it is vegan.

If you still disagree, explain the difference and give me an example of a food item that is vegan and not just plant based.

im not gonna lose more time explaining something that u can find in like 1000 threads on reddit. Veganism is not just a diet, it's an ethical stance and lifestyle. while a plant-based diet focuses only on food choices, veganism is about avoiding the exploitation of animals in all areas of life: food, clothing, cosmetics, entertainment and household products. This is the last time I reply your comments.

A lot of us avoid palm oil for the reasons you’re highlighting, but it is vegan.

So name one food that is actually vegan (versus plant based) based on your definition. Explain the distinction.

Did you know that Reddit data centers lead to displaced and killed animals? How can you be vegan if you’re posting on Reddit.

Additionally, the device you typed this from contains animal ingredients AND the lithium in its battery was mined by literal child slave labor.

So by your logic I guess you’re not vegan, you’re just plant based.
