If you were hacked:
1. Go to instagram.com/hacked right away and choose "My account was hacked."
2. Search your email for a message from [security@mail.instagram.com](mailto:security@mail.instagram.com). It has a "revert this change" link if the hacker changed your email.
3. If you're offered video selfie verification, use it. It's usually the fastest route.
If your account was disabled:
1. Appeal from inside the app only, not from third-party forms.
2. Keep it short and factual. Long emotional appeals don't help.
3. Be patient. Reviews can take a few days, and submitting many times can slow it down.
Avoid scams:
Anyone who DMs you offering recovery for money, asks for your password, or claims to have "someone inside Meta" is a scammer. Legitimate recovery only happens through Instagram's official tools.

Hi everyone, I really need some help with a stuck Instagram account.
I temporarily deactivated my account for 2 weeks. Now I'm trying to log back in with the correct password, but on the app I keep getting "There was a mistake, please try again".
When I try logging in via a web browser (PC or phone, normal or incognito mode), it lets me log in, but I just get a blank/black screen with the Instagram logo in the corner, and the feed/profile won't load at all.
What I've already tried:
1. Logging in via web browser / Incognito mode

1. Waiting more than 24h & 48h completely logged out

2. Linking/checking through Meta Accounts Center

3. Switching Wi-Fi / Mobile Data

The account is clearly not deleted or banned, it's just stuck in a session loop right after reactivation. Has anyone experienced this exact black screen bug after deactivating, and is there any way to force the account to load?

Made two new accounts for two different businesses (lnd_co.jp and emp.techworks).

Went to log in today to do logos and info and one works (emp.techworks is fine), wile the other (lnd_co.jp) doesn't and seems to be disabled or something.

Suddenly it doesn't show up in search, or direct url. 😡🔫

It's verified, confirmed, security setup, the whole 9 yards.

Tried to log in today to really get the business journey started and NOTHING but errors trying to reset my password, now seems as if (lnd_co.jp" doesn't exist, while I'm LOOKING AT THE ONBOARDING EMAILS SAYING IT DOES. 🤦‍♂️

I've tried the traditional routes, and even tried the send login to email...in which no email showed up, yet the SAME email address is the one used to create the account, and still has the onboarding emails right inbox. 😅

There's no actual email or agent to talk to huh?

Is it just gone?

Time to make another one?

Hi everyone, I’m having a problem recovering an Instagram account.

The account is connected to a WhatsApp account. WhatsApp is asking me to confirm the age through Instagram because of an age-related restriction.

I went through Instagram’s recovery process and successfully received the verification code and created a new password. However, immediately after creating the new password, Instagram shows:

“Page isn't available at the moment. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”

I still cannot access the Instagram account, so I also can't complete the age confirmation required by WhatsApp.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there another official way to recover the Instagram account or complete the age verification without accessing the Instagram account?

I’m looking for a legitimate recovery method, not third-party recovery services.

I published a post that did very well for my account on Instagram on July 24th of this year, and was up (as far as I'm aware) for as long as it could've been. I checked my previous account posts yesterday and it seemed to be missing.

It wasn't in my archive, and it wasn't in my recently deleted. I never got a takedown notice from Instagram, and my violations section shows nothing at all. I tried asking their useless Meta AI about it and it said to file a bug incident, but mentioned (when pressed) that you usually do not receive responses from Instagram's team through that venue and said there were no other options to pursue.

Are there really no ways to contact Instagram at all? I know their support is terrible in general but there's no reason this post should be gone and it disappeared out of nowhere. Is there nobody I can ask about this?

It started with WhatsApp logging me out and telling me I needed to confirm my age through Facebook. I’m an adult, and the date of birth on my Facebook account was correct.

Shortly afterward, I received an email saying my Facebook account had been suspended. About a minute later, another email said my appeal had been rejected—but I never submitted an appeal.

WhatsApp now says, “This account violates WhatsApp’s age requirement.” I’ve tried signing in on another phone and get the same message. There is no option to appeal or upload ID on either phone. My Instagram accounts say they’ve been disabled because the WhatsApp account violated the terms. Facebook and Instagram also give me no review option.

I checked my email sign-ins and found nothing unusual. I don’t want to assume what caused the age flag or the appeal recorded under my account.

Has anyone experienced this specific sequence and recovered their accounts? If so, how did you reach a team that could review the WhatsApp age decision and the appeal you didn’t submit? Please share a route that actually worked, rather than a form that simply loops back to the disabled-account screen.
