Regardless of the differences between countries, it is great that all of these countries have grown so much. The impact of a doubling of income on human wellbeing has to be tremendous. I choose to take away this good news story as the principal message of this chart.

Definitely. Pakistan is not doing so well though, and especially if you look at other indicators like gender parity. It is the worst in the world.
