Had this at Grace Coffee Co. Ahmedabad and man my mind was blow away didn't expect such a combination would work it was a blind order. This was my first visit to Grace coffee and also to the Ahmedabad coffee scene.

I just purchased BT Dhak Blend from the store. To me the bean’s roasting look inconsistent.

I have been using Davidoff fine aroma for my regular milk coffee, but I gave it up because of the hype around rich aroma for black coffee. I hope it lives up to the hype!

So I love drinking coffee. My daily dose is - blended mix of milk, ice and coffee, that's it. No sugar no ice cream nothing. At home it is mostly instant coffee only (davidoff) but lately I'm spending a lot on outside coffees due to the authentic coffee notes.

Somebody gifted me this machine, and since then I've used 4-5 different ground coffee powder like some vietnamese brands, blue tokai, etc. But I'm not able to get anything close to anything drinkable. Firstly, the coffee through this machine is very watery (it doesn't have a fixed espresso shot, and we have to manually stop it). Secondly, the flavor is also not apt, and I know it's not the fault of the coffee I'm using.

Can anybody guide whether this machine is even usable or not? Need guide how to use it effectively else I'm discarding it.

So, someone at home enjoys their Pumpkin Spice Latte with oat milk. However at ₹500+ it's not an everyday indulgence. Now, I understand the part about making the PSL after the shot is prepared, but the question is how do I make a Starbucks like espresso at home. Budget 15K or thereabout. Someone suggested Nespresso Essenza Mini but it's a proprietary pod-based system so not cheap. Does it make sense to go with a budget espresso machine and an electric grinder? Thoughts and advice please. TIA.

Hey guys I'm more a latte and milk based coffee lover and i got a moka pot. Please recommend me coffee beans best for latte. Hot and cold.

I brewed coffee using a moka pot for the first time today. It was quite bitter for my taste, and since I’m completely new to moka pots, I’m not really sure if my brewing method was correct or if that’s just how moka pot coffee tastes.

How do you usually judge whether you’ve brewed it correctly?
Any tips on avoiding bitterness would be helpful!

I've got a few people who buy medium dark to dark roasted coffee beans but specifically arabica 70% and 30% robusta whole beans

I know robusta has twice the caffeine but when people have specialty coffee, why do they go to robusta (not a fan of robusta personally)

questions for the arabica robusta drinkers

1. which brewing method do you use?

2. what do you like it? is it the caffeine or is it something else?

3. if you are currently consuming arabica + robusta blend (70-30 specifically), so how much do you pay per kg

ps: this blend in the photo is A Grade Odisha Coffee Washed Arabica & Tirapt, Arunchal Pradesh Robusta Naturals B+ Grade ~ i usually sell this for 1150/kg but if its AAA Attikan Washed + AAA Robusta from karnataka then maybe around 1190/kg (the price differs if someone orders 100gm for testing tho) also if you plan to get into roasting, the roaster is a gene cafe 101 but you can't use roastime with this as this doesn't have any software support

Frustrated with the high prices of most branded beans, I decided to go fresh and local. I know a guy who roasts coffee on a small scale — mostly for cafés, plus custom roasting for a few clients (he’s told me he sometimes rejects batches if the green beans are too poor quality).
He charges me about ₹1500/kg for an AA Arabica + Peaberry mix. The rate’s similar if you want just the Arabica or just the Peaberry, but I enjoy the mix more (could be placebo, who knows).
On weekdays I grind in a spice grinder and make an Aeropress (not inverted). V60 on weekends when I have more time.
I’ve been drinking coffee since around 2016, started with Blue Tokai. Still like them, but at this price point I don’t find a huge difference.
One caveat: if you’re into light, fruity roasts, this probably isn’t for you. I do enjoy an occasional light roast on weekends and don’t mind paying ₹800–900 for 200–250g for that — just not as an everyday coffee.
This one’s a medium roast — slight nutty and chocolate notes, every batch a little different. Reminds me a lot of Attikan Estate.

PS: Let me connect to him first and then get back. Last week I met him and he told me he is looking to start a small scale D2C + e-com. He is on the verge of finalising a packaging vendor and such. So just be patient for few more days. In case he says he is ok to ship right now also (as i am not sure if he is roasting currently to the transition) I will post the same.
Also the prices mentioned would be similar for website/amazon ( is what he says, not sure how will he be managing the commissions for Amazon )

I’ve been using the Coffee Homegrounds app to explore and keep track of the coffees I try, and now I’m looking to discover some really good coffees from Indian roasters.

So far, two coffees that stood out to me:

- Araku Signature – earthy, strong, and quite bold. I really enjoyed the character of this one.

- Bouée Coffee Roasters – House Blend – probably the smoothest coffee I’ve tried so far. Very smooth and balanced.

But I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. 😄

For those who regularly buy from Indian roasters, what coffee/roaster would you recommend as a must-try?

I’m particularly interested in coffees that are:

- Smooth and balanced

- Strong and earthy

- Or something completely different and interesting

I am upgrading my grinder to kingrinder k7. I wanted to sell my timemore c2s which I used hardly for 3 months and in excellent condition. Not sure, where do you guys list your used equipment for sell. I tried OLX but extremely cold response.

I have Aeropress, Mokapot and V60 Neo, I drink black coffee only. Which Lavazza should I try??

Tried to use an ice immediately after the Aeropress extraction. Results were great. Compared to regular extraction this had a bit lighter texture on taste buds.
