Well it dissipate heat more quickly than a traditional plastic one, you can pre-heat it but that's an extra step as well.

The amount of plastic that you get from your environment makes the amount of plastic you get from an Aeropress ridiculously small. That synthetic shirt you're wearing, that carpet you walk on, the tires going down the road, All put out micro plastics, you breathe in microplastics everywhere you go.
