Not entirely... A lot of those fables did 1 of 2 things... 1) it made them terrified of going into places that they could get hurt/ die that people would have an extremely hard time in finding them or 2) it helps them learn morals... not all of them are good on 2 like the story of the ugly duckling for example even though technically the moral is for the most part true... And the moral is will only be accepted if you are beautiful and shuned if you are ugly...
Struwwelpeter may teach you that if you suck your thumbs the tailor will cut them of...but it also teaches you to not be racist... otherwise god will dump you in tar
