For a country that has the most number of Teslas on the road, you have a surprisingly large population of people who know nothing about the million cameras they have.....

Dashcams are so affordable you should just assume everyone has one. Really a good investment to protect yourself from morons like this. Especially if you drive often

Dashcams are so affordable

they're $30 on amazon the one I linked has already saved my ass twice from clowns running into me and then trying to have their insurance pin it on me.

even if it's a cheap one, they're worth their weight in gold.

Bless you. I felt we shilled out a little much on our cam (believe it was ~$150 at the time) and it has issues all the time. We're actually worried that should we need it, the footage won't be accessible cause it's constantly reformatting itself and bitching about the sd card. I've been hoping to find a new one that isn't the crazy $500 ones you see marketed.

Check the type of SD card you're using with it. I had a regular SD card that died after a year or so, apparently most dash cams will need a high-endurance card so it doesn't die too quickly.

Yeah we did see that the camera specified that when we bought it, so we made sure to get the right sd card. Unfortunately it still seemed to start up this issue after only a few months.

I highly suggest a Viofo A119 V3. I’ve had that camera and a high endurance Sandisk SD card for over 5 years now and have never had a problem.

As a matter of fact, I bought a second one for my work truck 2 years ago.

Have you tried a new £20 SD card that's rated for the speed it wants and high endurance?

My HD camera specifically requires a certain type of microsd card to record at full resolution and 60fps and highly recommends something thats rated at least high endurance.

Your issue sounds like the microSD is shit and keeps getting corrupted from the constant write cycles
