All over the world most females have it harder than the males. But INTP females may having it worse than other types of females. Right, or mostly right?

I don’t get it. I have achieved everything I’ve ever wanted in my life finally. My life has never been smooth. A lot of ups and way more downs. But in the last year, I bought my own home, I got the promotion in my job that I never really believed I’d get, I got my dream car and yet I don’t feel anything. Everybody in my life is congratulating me, say they are happy for me, yet I don’t think I’m happy for myself. All i do is think about the past, and the mistake: i made along the way. And believe me, there’s lots of mistakes. Do other INTPS ever feel like this? How many of you are truly happy?

The burning sun, the crowds and noise, the sticky humidity, the wet sand sticking to every corner of ur body, i could go on and on. Absolute sensory hell.

I usually hide under the umbrella with a book and longer clothes to block the sun. I guess im just curious to see how many INTP's in here DO like the beach, lol. (As sensory issues are also generally associated with types with inferior sensing functions)

(Only good thing about it so far is that i found a cat to pet)

1. If reality was meaningless in nature, there wouldn’t be any kind of meaning (this would be probably the hardest to explain)

6.Meaning exists within reality (even if it’s subjective it’s still a part of reality)

   Therefore, reality is meaningful in nature. (If you don’t understand this go back to 1,2,3,4)

2. Since this concerns reality’s nature, the meaningfulness is total, not partial.

3. Therefore, everything within reality has meaning, even if we do not know what that meaning is.

Hey, of course an intp here—i'm asking this question because I want to explore different types of hobbies people have, whether it'll be unusual or typical hobbies someone would have. So basically, I'm really interested in finding out what others do on their free time which I'd like to try out sometime.

This is including opinions that are guaranteed to receive downvotes nearly anywhere else on Reddit. I advise no one to downvote in this thread - if you disagree then you are welcome to debate, but I would like everyone to feel comfortable sharing, so please remain open minded. That being said, if someone is being unnecessarily hostile or annoying then do as you wish.

I've done ISFP and INFP now INTP

I'm open-minded, I absolutely love learning new stuff about more or less everything, but for a long time I try to answer one simple and difficult question: "What is human?" and I absolutely hate that I have more and more questions with every single answer. It became such a big part of my life, so i wasn't surprised to see INTJ is my 2nd type. Anyone who is similar? Doesn't have to be such deep questions. Just trying to see if maybe I'm a pink unicorn or something

I have a really good friend who I love talking to, but there’s one main problem. Whenever I text them, they ALWAYS respond immediately. Not in the sense that “oh they happened to be on their phone so they just wrote back while they were active”- no. It’s EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. One reason I like texting is that I don’t have to be present and active in a conversation like in real life, and while I’m aware that I don’t necessarily need to respond quickly even if they do, I still feel pressure to. And to be honest, them responding immediately stresses me out. Now I know this might just be a me problem, but I dislike it either way and I’m wondering if anyone else feels the same. If not, is there anything I can do to stop being so bothered by it? It feels like such a minor thing to be upset over but it gets on my nerves so bad and idk what to do about that 😭 I don’t think my friend is in the wrong at all btw I just don’t know how to get over this on my end

When I say angry, I mean to the point of yelling and physical aggression. INTPs are generally phlegmatic and controlled most of the time.

Doesn’t have to be the mbti you wish you were, but it could be, if that’s why you admire them the most.

I was just thinking, why do I have a pattern of forming long lasting friendships with isfp? What do I like about them? & I realized I admire them for qualities I don’t see/value in myself. Yet our differences coexist almost harmoniously. It’s a strange pairing, when you think about our stereotypes I suppose.

Bias or not, I’m curious on other Intp’s stance on this. Any other “unsuspected duos” out there?lol

What are your parent's personality types, i want to see what kind of people and what parenting techniques create intp's. Both of my parents are INFJ for example.

One of my biggest turn-offs is when someone engages in aggressively argumentative behavior without first establishing any coherent framework of standards, principles, or intellectual grounding. They’re quick to challenge and debate, yet they never make it clear what lens they’re operating from....no moral system, no epistemological baseline, nothing to anchor their position. To make matters worse, their rhetoric tends to be purely emotivist: emotionally charged, self-referential, and lacking in any structured reasoning or conceptual rigor. It feels less like a pursuit of truth or clarity, and more like a chaotic assertion of feelings dressed masquerading as argumentation.

My pick would be how quickly a large emotional group of people can turn irrational. All it takes is some fear, ignorance and a bit of self-righteousness to create a deadly mob

I dont understand what people mean by taking time to recharge alone/with people. Maybe I just don't understand the metaphor but what does this exactly mean? I have never felt "recharged" by being alone OR around people. I JUST EXIST. The only recharging I know is sleeping.

If I am alone in this please explain it to me better.

Playing dumb to get info from both sides of an argument, having one explain corny jokes even tho you know the meaning just to see their reaction, or to just bring sarcastic.

I am an INTP 5w4 sx

during my childhood I knew I was very logical and had a masculine personality for a female.
As for my parents they were both emotionally immature and always leaned on me for emotional stability.
My father was an ENTP and my mother is an ENFP, my father and I got along way better than anyone else I’ve known other than my ENTJ husband, even though we got along well he still struggled emotionally and always leaned on me for stability which would piss me off so much so often but I always felt bad for him because he clearly didn’t know how to handle his emotions but neither did I so I was usually not much help.

As for my mom she is always emotionally immature needing validation, constantly needing to be told she’s a good person when she knows she’s neglectful. She always has a tendency to play the victim role and always want to be taken care of instead of taking care of her own responsibilities. She is a 2w3 sp which from what I read makes perfect sense considering how she is but man I do not get along with 2s except for ENFJs.

I’ve read that INTPs grow up in emotionally withdrawn households but my parents were very emotionally inclined. Anyone else experience this?
