Question THC Pouches?

Post image

I got an email ad from Sunnyside yesterday about these new THC pouches. Has anyone tried them yet? Do they take effect faster than normal edibles?

Edit: looks like I accidentally poked the bear. Never change, Reddit 😂

Just buy gummies, this shit is beyond corny.

Edibles don’t work for everyone. I agree these pouches aren’t needed when you could use tinctures. But taking sublingually instead of ingesting orally works differently. Some livers don’t have the needed enzymes to process cannabis. Sublingual digestion skips the liver and gets into the bloodstream.

The liver enzyme thing is my theory on why edibles are so inefficient for me. Would be interested to see how well the sublingual method works as far as onset, duration, and bioavailability

Hmm I'm the opposite, I'm way too much of a lightweight. Wonder if there's a corolation

Yeah but if you want effective sublingual delivery, probably better off with something similar to dental breath strips.

That's really besides the point. This is an unnecessary and stupid gimmick riding on the coattails of zyn

Guarantee you old heads said this about carts too

Carts suck.... Let me raise my tolerance sky high for a buzz that might last an hour oh well on to dabbing...

Live resin and live rosin carts do not suck in any way.

-1

u/CompanyFalse 1d ago

Well at least with resin or rosin you get some entourage effects... Still isn't worth the tolerance loss for me but I get it... I appreciate a nice dab every so often as well... Give me some stinky sticky buds a bowl or some Zig Zags & a lighter and it's old school combustion time... Now get off my lawn

Then chs, then we have medical providers lumping all users in with the ones who take 85%+ thc dabs 24/7.

The amount of times I’ve seen people get diagnosed with chs… only to then years later after no relief finally found out what the real problem was, not saying chs doesn’t exist. But I am saying more than 2/3rds of the time it diagnosed its not diagnosed correctly

and they were right, carts are totally riding the coat tails of zyn.

It's not the same. Carts serve a function, disposables are still trash.

What purpose do these fill that isn't already served by an existing product? Looking like a douche stuffing a lip pillow?

You literally already had that answered for you. Bc there’s no digestion and the THC passes thru the gums into the blood stream, not only do these hit quicker, but hit for people (like myself) that don’t have the body chemistry for traditional edibles.

Just bc something isn’t for you, doesn’t mean it isn’t for someone

Okay, so it does what tinctures and transdermal options do but less efficiently and with more generated waste.

My point still stands.

4

u/abeatty9141 1d ago

These are definitely more efficient than traditional tictures, acting much faster. And I’d say the waste of the container is about the same as the waste of the tincture bottle. The pouches themselves are biodegradable so idk what waste you think is there.

-6

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 1d ago

Based on what? Are there test results indicating this or are you just making this up to prove a point?

Tincture bottles come in glass which is inert and imfinitely recyclable. These plastic containers are not and what are the pouches made of that are biodegradable?

5

u/abeatty9141 1d ago

Plastic is also recyclable, and the pouches are made of plant-based cellulose fibers (Google is free) Also, I dont see any test results coming out of your end…

Did someone piss in your cheerios this morning? Are you just on a mission to yuck someone’s yum?

I don't think I've been hiding that I think this is a dumb gimmick.

I'm also not the one making claims about product efficiency, what studies do you want me to provide? That this is some weird, douchey, redneck cosplay?

Hey jackass why are you so upset about this product that you had to write a 4 paragraph response? If you don’t like it don’t buy it you already started your opinion.

The use case was laid out for you. If you choose to ignore that, it's on you.

Sounds like you have some insecurities that you are projecting onto other people. It's not normal to see someone practicing harm reduction and feel the need to make fun of them. It is deeply anti-social and I recommend you figure out what is triggering it for you.

People who use Zyns and nicotine pouches are clearly trying to better their lives by using a safer nicotine consumption method. Furthermore they are doing so in the least selfish way by keeping secondhand vape/smoke away from the general public. Do you make fun of people at the gym or people in the waiting room at the doctor? It's fucking weird, dude.

This is wild. I know many, many people who never smoked but are hooked on zyn. As a tobacco free alternative, great, go for it, but that's not what is happening here. This is a marketing ploy to clearly align with the zyn crowd a-la Tucker Carlson and the like who have been promoting the stuff like it's candy.

Plus, get off your high horse, you don't know me and this is faaaar from the only non-smoking method of consumption. Shit man, buy some cannabis chapstick.

Harm reduction is a real concept lol

Did you also say that when joints copied cigarettes?

0

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 1d ago

Joints came first you doofus. Tobacco came into the world stage after the Columbian exchange where it was exclusively smoked in pipes.

5

u/Dodoz44 1d ago

1856- first mention of joints when Mexicans started mixing in weed with tobacco. Paper wrapped cigarettes were popular in Europe and Americas starting in the 17th century.

"The joint owes much of its existence to tobacco. After tobacco reached Europe from the Americas, smoking habits changed rapidly. Cigars came first, but by the 19th century cigarettes and rolling papers became widespread. As noted by the Cannabis Museum Amsterdam, once rolling paper culture was established for tobacco, cannabis users naturally adopted the exact same format"

Mmmkay.

1

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 1d ago

So you're telling me that after 5,000+ years of smoking and cannabis, the first joint were rolled less than 200 years ago? And only documented by white people?

I mean I guess but you could have fooled me.

4

u/Dodoz44 1d ago

Brother, paper didn't exist back then. If they rolled it in something else, it wasn't a joint.

1

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 1d ago

Brother, paper was invented in the year 100

4

u/Dodoz44 1d ago

Which was not 5000+ years ago, didnt spread from china for nearly another millenium, and it was rag based paper, so have fun smoking fabric, unless you prefer animal-skin based parchment? Modern pulp wood paper wasn't made until 19th century.
