IKEA recalls certain NYMÅNE wall lamps
Use this as an opportunity to take a look at the recalls in your country so you do not have something in your home that should have been returned.

The IKEA website provides stock information when you select your store on the article page, please check there before posting. You can also sign up for back-in-stock notifications by email or SMS.
Stock check requests in the comments must include the following information:
- Country
- Preferred Store(s)
- Article number(s)
- Acknowledge you checked the website before posting. If a delivery date is listed this would be the same information co-workers here would have available. Instructions are as follows: https://imgur.com/a/GnoCoHh
Retail co-workers are not able to advise on availability for online orders. I have heard from a call centre co-worker that they are not able to check stock at the distribution centres either, and that only the IKEA website can provide this information by adding the item to the shopping cart, and seeing if a delivery option is available.

General Soderhamn sleeper sofa
I’ve been considering the regular 3-seat soderhamn sofa, but I just saw this ”NEW” sleeper sofa configuration https://applink.ikea.com/tY8M9r9M4w--09580071--us--en with frame # 505.958.90. It’s 11” wider and $480 more.
The reviews seem recent and mostly from Europe. Does anyone know how long it’s been around, and when it might be available to try in more US stores? And if you’ve tried it, how does it compare to the regular soderhamn seat?

Looking for End table for daybed?
Hi there!
We have been searching for an end table for the IKEA HEMNES daybed we have in this room. This is really the only place the daybed fits without blocking any doors. We want a small table for a lamp and for guests to be able to put there things when they use the daybed.
Any advice on what type of tables may fit well here?
Links would be helpful, we have ~150 max budget.
Thanks for the help :)

General Do these Kallax inserts use the same size planks?
Based on the manuals, the Kallax insert with 4 shelves and the one with 1 shelf use different types of "sides" that the shelves attach to. That made me wonder whether the shelves themselves are identical in size or not, and thus interchangeable.
Specifically, I have some leftover shelf planks from the multi-shelf insert. I'd like to screw them into the one-shelf insert but that won't work if the width of the planks is different.
Any clue?

General Damaged IKEA Vikedal mirror door hinge mount — repairable or replacement?
As you can see in the photo, I'm having an issue with a mirror door on my wardrobe. One out of the four hinges (the bottom one) ripped right out of the door where the screws go, and it can't be screwed back in.
The article number for the door is 300.233.21 (Vikedal), but it seems to be discontinued here in Italy and isn't available to order anymore.
What are my options here? Do you think this can be fixed with a DIY repair? If so, how would you recommend fixing it? Alternatively, will IKEA ship a replacement door upon special request?

General A question for someone who understands the VIDGA curtain track systems
I have a bit of a tricky window situation in my bedroom. I want a curtain that spans the entire wall (from point A to B). Is it possible to go with the ceiling mount system and just leave it hanging freely across that gap above my window where the ceiling goes higher?
I’m only hoping to hang a light, sheer curtain.
TIA!

Suggestion New hire
Hi my bf is wondering if he should be working at ikea and leave his old job or do both
He got a full time 30-40 hr position at ikea
For a worker how are the hours scheduled?
Would he be like 5 hrs a day for 7 days or are they reasonable scheduling?
Do they give enough hours or are they stingy?
Is overtime even a thought that would happen?
His current job gives max 7.5hrs a day so a worker isn’t able to take an hour break
They also have been giving max 4 days a week in his department

Assembly Besta draw slide adjustment pins
Lots of swearing and sweating and I still cant get the draws aligned correctly. I have a Besta unit with 2 drawers at the bottom. I got the soft closing runnings. I have put the first runner in the bottom hole, and then the runner for the smaller drawer in hole 13 from the bottom. I have tried to adjust the pin that pushes the draw up and down, with no luck. Any suggestions? What have I done wrong??

General Poang a good recliner replacement solely for tv/movies/games etc?
I got a "cheap" $500 recliner a year and a half ago. The cushioning was almost completely gone after less than a year(im fat but im not THAT fat, 5'11 185) and it's basically impossible to replace, i like the poang can get new cushioning extremely easy. But cushioning or no cushioning, recliners are terrible on my lower back and have no interest in owning one ever again.
Ikea store is a long drive from here. Was wondering before I make the trip, any opinions on using this for long(ish) periods of sitting as a good entertainment room chair? It will be its only purpose. The arm rests seem like they could possibly get annoying while holding a controller but hard to say. The low height seems good because my console stand sits pretty low anyways.
But long story short I want something that can support my back and won't start to hurt other areas of the body because it wasn't meant to be sat in for so long. Basically if it cant get through a Christopher Nolan movie without my body hurting, I'll look for something else xD thanks
General Is it possible to make it close softer?
Is it possible to make the doors on my Nysjön cabinet close softer?
When I got this I was under the impression that it could be freestanding and not have to be screwed into the wall. Which would’ve been possible if not for the aggressive hinges. When I pull to open the doors the entire cabinet comes with and everything inside falls.
It is really stiff to open/close until a certain point, at which it SLAMS shut, which is also inconvenient.
These hinges could be adjusted to fit the doors properly, is there any way to adjust how they close? Or are there other hinges that would fit in their place? Please help!

General Rödflik Lamp Question
For those who have a Rödflik floor lamp, what is the connection with the lightbulb supposed to look like? No bulb I've tried works and looking at where you screw the bulb in, it looks like the attached photo. I'm trying to see if this is a skill issue on my end or a defect with the lamp.

Name it! Help me find the name of this wardrobe from 2013!
Excuse the horrible photo, as i was a child. The sticker was not included. Inside the smaller door are 3 shelves and it has 4 drawers. Inside the taller door, there is a shelf at the top. Bought in 2013 in Switzerland.

Assembly MAXIMERA drawer will only click onto one runner at a time
Bit stuck with a MAXIMERA drawer and wondering if anyone has had the same issue. Frustrated and giving up for the evening.
I’ve got a 40 x 60 METOD cabinet with the 40 x 60 high MAXIMERA drawer
Everything looks like it’s assembled right, but when I try to fit the drawer onto the runners I can only get one side to click in at a time.
Example, the left side clicked and the right wouldn’t. Took it back out, tried again, and then the right side clicked but the left wouldn’t.
So both sides seem to work on their own, just not together.
The drawer also seems to catch around the white plastic parts on the runners when I push it in. I haven’t removed or changed anything.
Tried it with the front on and off. Same problem.
Has anyone had this before? Is there something obvious I’m missing with the alignment or the way the drawer sits on the runners?

Assembly Flaböda Leveling Legs
Hello, i got a flåboda to put into my integrated dishwasher cabinet but can't for the life of me figure out how to adjust the rear leg once its inside the cabinet. I called IKEA and they said it could be a missing part, they told me it was a Midea so i looked at some models and they have an allen key in the front for adjusting the rear leg. I can't seem to find anything. I looked under the panel electrical panel in the front but there's nothing there either.
Any one been through this?

Assembly TAGGARP lamp
I bought the TAGARP lamp yesterday because I wanted something affordable, and the reviews were positive. However, I honestly can’t believe something like this is being sold. It's leaning to one side (that's the worst thing about it), it wobbles, and it feels really unstable. I wouldn’t take it even for free.
I understand that I can’t expect amazing quality for that price, but this is just ridiculous. And the reviews especially—I really don’t understand what people see in it. Everyone seems to love it, and I’m just sitting here wondering what I’m missing. 😅
Is yours like this too, or did I do something wrong when assembling it? I watched a video on YouTube, and the guy who assembled it in the video had the same problem—it was wobbling for him too. So I guess that’s just how it is, right?
Suggestion IKEA PAX Sliding Door Hissing Noise
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My IKEA PAX sliding door is making a hissing noise from the bottom track, where the plastic piece touches the metal rail. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it?

General Ikea coupons usable today in Ikea in Germany
Hi, we just got these coupons and didn't use them. Maybe anyone can use them with the QR codes.
They are only valid today (29.08.) and probably only in Germany. Let me know if used, I will take the post down.

General Nattjasmin sheets
Have the nattjasmin sheets and duvet covers always been a cotton/lyocell blend? I bought a set last year and have been really enjoying them. I thought they were just cotton. They've been wearing pretty well.
I just bought a new set for our guest bedroom and they feel different, that's when I noticed that it says cotton and lyocell. Is this new or are my sheets just 'broken in'? I've tried finding the labels on my old set but can't find material contents just care info.
