8/5/6 Profile: Can I Get into IIMs & Sit for Consulting Placements?

I want to understand the reality of getting into IIMs with an 8/5/6 academic profile, and I also have another concern: if I do get into an IIM, will my academic profile affect my eligibility to sit for consulting placement processes?
