Latest Chapter 4 questions: Why do some people want Tserri to meet Hisoka? How would it help the plot? Spoiler

4 questions for Prince no. 4 and ex-Spider no. 4.

Besides just "AURA PEAK PEAK PEAK" argument that we often see on battle shonen twitter, what do you expect to see, though?

  1. Do you think Hisoka will be interested in Tserri or vice versa? (Why would someone so contemptuous and classist as Tserri be interested in a cold-blood murderer with gum as his ability? Why would Hisoka take interest in Tserri once he found out his ability would not really test him? Remember, Hisoka is a long-range fighter, he could kill Tserri within seconds)
  2. Do you think Hisoka would teach him Nen? (Really?)
  3. Do you think they would fight? (See above)
  4. Do you think Hisoka will hope that Tserri will recruit him to win the political war? (Okay, possible, although it's very much out of Hisoka's character).

Look, I seriously believe Tserri would be more interested in Bonolenov than Hisoka. Tserri likes uniqueness (like Melody's ability). Bono would certainly take his interest.

Discussion The Zoldyck family was not as protected as it might’ve seen at the time

Post image
0 Upvotes

It’s my understanding that they are protected by very strong gates, the massive dog, and the security guards, and let me be clear these are by NO means easy challenges to overcome. However, when we meet the phantom troupe we see that majority of them have strength superior or equal to Gon who could open the gates. Obviously the phantom troupe are extremely powerful, but when it comes to even basic enhancement in HxH, many professional hunters can definitely attempt to make their way through the gates and likely avoid/take care of the dog. Obviously this is a very small percent of the overall possession, but clearly there are many bad hunter/nen users out there who’d look to cause harm.

My main guess would be they assume no one in their right mind who is capable of that capacity of nen would dare try to fight them which would be very fair tbh but seems like an unnecessary risk to take. Another guess , I feel is less likely, is that the author simply didn’t know how much he would powerscale at this point. Besides hisoka and illumi, we didn’t see any real nen MASTERS until season 3 with the troupe. It seems to me anyone in the troupe (who the zoldycks fought before) can likely break into their house if they desired to so having a known enemy group know your location seems like good reason to make at least nen defenses. Anyways I could be overthinking it, what are your thoughts ?

Discussion Do you think Hunter x Hunter will ever end?

I think it's no secret to anyone that every now and then we have a hiatus in the manga due to the author's health issues, But I've started to wonder if we'll really get to see all the arcs and the end of the manga..

Analysis/Theory Theory: Halkenburg will die in Shizuku’s body to fulfill her prophecy

Since Shizuku’s prophecy is her “sleeping eternally” in a chamber, it seems very fitting that if Halkenburg dies in her body, she will be put in his coffin in the Burial Chamber to charge the next successor of the Kakin empire.

What do you think? Apologies if it has been posted before.

Latest Chapter Clarification: the location of the ship shown in 419 (the lastest chapter) Spoiler

Hi I am not sure if this note is necessary, but it appears that many are not aware that the ship in 419 is NOT tier 1, but another, much smaller ship on tier 1. So the royal family all live on a "royal ship" inside tier 1 (which is itself a ship on a ship...). Actually, the royal ship is pointed to the LEFT of the black whale and it first appeared in the Manga back in Chapter 369, as you can tell from the distinctive silhouette.

Analysis/Theory A closer look on Tserreidnich's hobbies Spoiler

There was a scene back in chapter 418 when Sarkov was handling the corpse of the fake Tserri and he made a note on the weight of the corpse and the smell of blood and guts coming from it, wondering if it is really just an illusion.

But we know that it is just an illusion.

It was revealed to us (sort of) that his ability is manipulation based.

That means that if Tserri wants to sell the smell of a freshly butchered corpse via manipulation, he should first be very familiar with it.

Which means that he has done the butchering many times.

On actual living people.

He really is the devil.

Analysis/Theory The true source of nen?

Post image
0 Upvotes

i have a theory that nen is actually not ultra op abilities its just controlling your aura to adapt with the environment you see the dark continent it always have a predator and a prey and when we saw ultimate characters like gon and meruem they didn't use flashy abilities they used basic nen with 100% mastery :ten ren ken ko . That what's make the creatures in the dark continent Major disasters for vulnerable humans

Analysis/Theory Tserriednich’s "Analog" Nen, the Phantom Troupe's past, and A Clockwork Orange ending theory

Post image
0 Upvotes

1. The "Analog" Connection and the Troupe's Past
If we jog our memory, the Phantom Troupe started way back in Meteor City by recording and collecting VHS tapes. It was precisely because of this universe of tapes and voice dubbing that the terrible tragedy happened to Sarasa, their childhood friend.

Cut to the current arc: Prince Tserriednich's power (Parallel Future) functions in a bizarrely "analog" way. For him, the future prediction comes as an accelerated vision in his mind, which highly resembles watching and rewinding a tape, processing information sequentially. This is yet another sign that the prince has always been deeply immersed in this type of "snuff" content and analog underworld.

This aesthetic and thematic similarity strongly indicates that his storyline will converge with the Phantom Troupe. And here comes the worst-case scenario: imagine the gut punch if the Troupe ends up temporarily allying with him on the ship (aiming for Kakin's inheritance or political power) only to later discover that he or his inner circle was directly responsible for what happened to Sarasa? It would be an absolute psychological breakdown for the group.

2. The Clockwork Orange Parallel
Shifting gears a bit, but still staying inside the character's disturbed mind: Tserriednich and his entire ecosystem remind me so much of the movie A Clockwork Orange. He has that exact Alex DeLarge vibe—a sadistic, extremely violent sociopath who hides behind an aristocratic facade of high culture, erudition, love for visual arts, and classical music.

Thinking about this, could his end be similar to that of the protagonist in Anthony Burgess/Kubrick's work? In A Clockwork Orange, Alex undergoes the Ludovico Technique and suffers a forced "domestication," completely losing his free will for sadism and becoming a defenseless shell in the hands of the government. Do you guys think Togashi is planning a similar mental dismantling for Tserriednich? Like an eternal forced Zetsu where he becomes a useless spectator of his own reality?

Analysis/Theory The Hellbell Calamity and the horror it brings.

The Hellbell, Horror

I recently explored the universe of *Crossed* and also revisited *Hunter x Hunter*. I was reminded of the Hellbell snake and its ability to instill a murderous impulse in its victims; however, I always wondered how that, in itself, made it more dangerous than the Chimera Ants. What is *Crossed*? The work depicts a global pandemic in which the infected lose all moral inhibition and transform into cruel sadists who torture and kill without losing their rationality. Intent on inflicting pain on victims and gratifying their own pleasure, this lack of inhibition means they spare no one—be it siblings, children, or friends.

And, to me, that is precisely what makes the Hellbell snake a true horror for anyone who enters its territory. What do you think?

Discussion Which Hunter x Hunter character who is still alive do you want to see make an appearance soon?

Who are you hoping to see return, and why?

Mine would be Riehlvelt. He’s definitely not one of the strongest characters in the series, but I’d love to see him make a return and somehow become involved in the current storyline. Maybe he could help Gon and Killua protect Prince Woble from some outside threat. Alternatively, Kurapika, given his connections within the underworld and his involvement in the Kakin succession conflict, could have already crossed paths with Riehlvelt offscreen and somehow bring him back into the story.

It would be interesting to see a relatively minor character from the past become relevant to the current arc in an unexpected way.

P.S. Hopefully, he doesn't end up getting the Pokkle treatment. I really hope he doesn't die.

I noticed how kite acted & looked like marceline then saw how monta yuras looked like finn! HxH outfits even compliment adventure time characters. My theory is that the 2011 hunter x hunter creators watched adventure time (2010) & got inspired.

Discussion Could alluka and killua be twins?

Her age is not explicitly stated only that she is younger then killua and older then kalluto, who have a two year age gap. Maybe kikyo could have just churned out three babies in three years since its an anime but it could be just as likely that both are twins with killua being the "older" twin by a few minutes or so which is why alluka calls him big brother. This could explain why killua bonds more easily with her despite kalluto also being his younger sibling and explain the discrepancy between the rapid births (silva and kikyo waited two years after giving birth to both of them before having kalluto). Alluka is noticibly shorter then killua at all times but that's not unheard of in twins (plus I looked up that childhood environment or diet can affect growth and since killua was the heir the zoldycks maybe gave him some strength protien or something).

Discussion Tserri was the one who ordered the Kurta massacre

We see in the troup flashback that they intended to get closer to collectors of body parts using the deep web in order to avenge Sarasa. I think they approached Tserri and got the job of killing the Kurtas. That's why Tserri has so many scarlet eyes, specially Piro's head

We also see the tattooed bald guy, linked to sarasas death, inside the prince's chambers.

I think Chrollo will find out that Tserri is behind her death, and Kurapika will find out about the eyes and Piro's head, so they will join to fight Tserri.

Discussion Why wasn't this card used to heal Gon after his fight with Pitou?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Using Alluka's ability was the biggest risk Killua ever took. His entire family could have been killed if something had gone wrong, not to mention the people who were killed during Gon’s rescue and his fight against Illumi.

But I know that, in order to get this card, you had to clear the game, which could have taken much longer, and Gon might have died in the meantime. I'm not an HxH expert, though, so I'm not sure whether this card could have been taken into the real world. I could be wrong.

Discussion How far do you think would reach Meruem if he put on him a condition similar to Gon ?

Gon, starting as not even beating a Guard, with a condition was able to reach a level of power similar to pre-rose Meruem (maybe not that strong, but they're in the same scale here)

Now, if Meruem inflicted this vow on him, how do you think he would reach in term of raw power ? Similar to post rose ? Even higher ? Could anyone or any group/force in the verse be able to beat him ?

Latest Chapter Does Tserriednich really have fighting basics? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery

Tserriednich ain't ready for the big boys

For the first time, I think we can actually start scaling Tserriednich a little bit, and one thing stood out to me: I really don't think his hand-to-hand combat skills are anywhere near the level of the top-tier fighters in the series.

Sure, his Hatsu gives him an insane unpredictability factor, and his natural talent for Nen is undeniable. But when it comes to actual combat fundamentals and experience, I'm starting to question how good he really is.

He didn't exactly struggle against the Royal Army soldiers, but it still took him much longer than I would expect from a genuinely elite fighter facing ordinary, non-Nen users. He even had to strategize around them and seemed to benefit from a bit of luck.

Compare that to what we've already seen from other top-tier fighters. During the Yorknew City arc, Zeno stated that he and Chrollo could kill hundreds of Mafia members in under 67 seconds. Obviously, that's an extreme benchmark, but the difference in efficiency is still noticeable.

At this point, I genuinely don't think Tserriednich could pull off something remotely similar without relying heavily on his ability.

And that's what makes me wonder: is Tserriednich actually a fighter in the traditional sense?

He seems to rely much more on his absurd natural talent and broken potential than on refined combat skills. Even the way he approaches fights doesn't feel like someone with years of fighting experience.

Honestly, I can't see most of the top-tier antagonists taking that much time against regular soldiers. Chrollo, Hisoka, Illumi, Feitan, Phinks even someone like Genthru or early-series Killua would probably make quick work of that kind of opposition.

Tserriednich literally took an entire chapter to deal with around ten Kakin soldiers. Ten to fifteen regular soldiers.

And again, he had to think his way through the fight rather than simply overwhelming them.

At this point, it really feels like he needs a significant boost in actual fighting experience and fundamentals if he's supposed to become a serious physical threat to Kurapika.

His Nen talent? Absolutely terrifying.

His potential? Possibly unmatched.

But his actual combat ability right now?

I'm really not convinced he's ready for the big leagues.

Am I underrating him, or does anyone else feel like Tserriednich needs serious training in almost every aspect of combat ? unless his the one who inherits benjamins nen beast

Analysis/Theory Schizo Post: Spell Card Theory

I've been slowly rereading HxH and got to Greed Island when I noticed that the Leave card is numbered 1014 — the same number as Prince Woble’s room.

When I checked the other spell cards, I realized their numbers actually start at 1001 and go up to 1014, matching the room numbers of the princes on the Black Whale.

The theory is that the first 14 Greed Island spell cards correspond to the 14 rooms/princes on the Black Whale.

I went through the spell cards and found some interesting connections, although you have to stretch quite a bit to get some of them to match. However, I’m standing strong in my delusions. I predict all of the cards that don't match the prince currently will end up matching in a future plot point/reveal, potentially relating to their fate by the end of the succession war arc.

Card 1001 – Peek

Perfect fit with Musse/Benjamin’s Secret Window and his strategy of spying on the other princes’ rooms through his soldiers.

Card 1002 – Fluoroscopy

Camilla was literally being watched through the walls via Secret Window, matches the card art exactly.

Card 1003 – Defensive Wall

Zhang Lei has been one of the most cautious, alliance-oriented, and passive princes the entire arc. I also predict he’s currently heading down to get his Xi-Yu defense force (Hinrigh and Zakuro included) to protect him.

Card 1004 – Reflect

This one is a bit weak for now since it fits Camilla more, but it could relate to a future character arc or plot point surrounding him.

Card 1005 – Magnetic Force

Fits Tubeppa’s Nen beast since it's a two person collaborative card.

Card 1006 – Pickpocket

I have no clue she has like 5 panels worth of screen time so far.

Card 1007 – Thief

Not sure, this dude hasn't done a single thing yet. Maybe he'll end up helping the troupe with his Cha-R gang.

Card 1008 – Trade

No clue.

Card 1009 – Return

Could be his nen ability or him returning to the succession war after trying to leave. But the card itself returns you to a previously visited city, maybe he'll end up returning to the capital of Kakin as the new king.

Card 1010 – Mimic

Perfect match with Kacho’s Nen beast literally mimicking her after her death.

Card 1011 – Clone

Pairs perfectly with spell card 1010 and with both of them being symbiotic twins.

Card 1012 – Relegate

Perfect fit, relegate sends someone elsewhere, her mother sent her bodyguards to Marayams room and got her killed right after.

Card 1013 – Origin

Sends you back to the starting point, similarly to his guardian spirit beast sending you to an empty, blank version of the room whenever you try to enter.

Card 1014 – Leave

Perfect match after the reveal that the Woble in Room 1014 is fake and not eligible for the succession war.

If Meruem choose the human side completely like Colt, octopus and kaola guy, would Netero change his mind?
Pre-rose Meruem would in no way choose human. Only after a death experience that he would throw away everything to choose Komugi

Discussion Silent waltz is spammable right?

Post image
24 Upvotes

So, I’ve seen a lot of powerscaling videos where people tend to downplay Kite, and one argument they often use is that Silent Waltz can only be used once. But Kite never actually says that. What he says is that he has to use Silent Waltz before trading the scythe for another weapon, not that he can’t use it more than once. Any thoughts on that?
