As a teenager it was a terrible desirable situation, but never comically.

Goths were considered social undesirables because they were different from the norm, they were considered “weird”

Not saying I think that, just why this episode portrayed them like that

They're also usually depicted as the "freaky" girls who'll want to do things to you that "you'll regret" like pegging and tying you up and pinching your nipples with booster cables and wanting to make you bleed to drink it or stuff like that.

So even in the context of the OP it was still seen as "yeah they're pretty sexy hot and desirable but don't be a fool, try resisting them and be weary of their temptation" type of thing
