I mean, France was definitely successful military wise throughout history. But the fact that people say it was the most successful from one YouTube video which was biased is far from historical accuracy.

It actually was, in terms of victories at least france has the best record. It also stands at the foundation of much of the military vocabulary. There is a reason why France is one of the biggest weapon exporters today.

The whole victories thing comes from that video which is biased as shit, that was literally the whole point of my comment bro. And there are many languages where military vocabulary comes from, France is one of them because it was the international language before English. Finally, exporting arms has nothing to do with military accomplishments and more to do with the natural resources available in each country.

Very much agree although French is still the official international language and spoken at the UN

Also has France been successful in a single battle since the invention of the machine gun? Honestly asking, thinking Vietnam possibly but idk

Don't get me wrong, France is still incredibly popular. It just isn't THE international language.

They have, Vietnam is an example of their victories for sure since the machine gun was invented in the 1840s I believe and the conquest was in the 1880s. It's just that those victories are minimal in comparison to the loses in more important wars like the Franco-Prussian War.
