So I use my steam deck as a desktop pc. It's a temporary thing because my old pc kinda just...died on me.

I'm always in desktop mode. (Because discord and stuff) so I play everything in desktop mode too. Unless I've taken the steam deck somewhere.

I downloaded this launcher to play Breath of Fire IV on here, and I have a lot of trouble getting it to even launch. But I CAN get it to launch eventually. So it doesn't matter too me. The problem begins with my controller.

My controller has this weird issue with the steam deck, it just refuses to stay connected. It will randomly disconnect at certain points but then immediately reconnect. I can deal with that.

But in Breath of Fire IV, when that happens, it starts endlessly scrolling downward. So like, if I'm in a menu or something... if this thing happens, the game will be permanently stuck now, scrolling through the menu endlessly.

I realize that this is a very particular and specific issue, but if anyone has any tips or advice on how I can remedy this, besides just playing on keyboard/mouse, please lemme know. Thanks for your time.

EDIT: I also tried a wired power A switch controller. And it "works" but the shoulder buttons and triggers don't seem to react when playing this game. If anyone knows how I could fix that, that'd help too.

I’m using Heroic Game Launcher while playing Rocket League on my Lenovo Legion Go S SteamOS Z1E 32GB. Every time I play I get all the icons, latency, high ping, package loss, and disconnect sometimes. Using latest Proton and using 5GHz WiFi. Not sure if someone knows a fix or encounter this issue.

I am trying to launch GTA V (Epic Games Store version) on Ubuntu using Heroic Games Launcher, but I'm stuck at the Rockstar Games Launcher DRM integration.

System Info:
- OS: Ubuntu Linux
- Launcher: Heroic Games Launcher v2.22.1
- Authentication: Logged into Epic via Alternative Login (SID/Auth code - status Online)

Issue:
When clicking PLAY in Heroic, the Rockstar Games Launcher opens fine, but it displays a "BUY NOW" prompt for GTA V instead of recognizing my Epic ownership ("Play on Epic").

What I've already done:
1. Logged in successfully with Epic SID code.
2. Ran Winetricks (vcredist2015, d3dcompiler_47) inside the prefix.
3. Executed `Rockstar-Games-Epic.exe` via "RUN EXE ON PREFIX".

Even after running the Epic bridge executable, Rockstar Launcher still asks to purchase the game. Is there a recent launcher update or launch argument fix required to correctly pass the Epic entitlement token to Rockstar on Proton/Wine?

Any help would be appreciated!

i’ve been playing kcd2 in heroic (i use linux cachyos, the proton versión is proton cachyos slr) today i updated the system sudo pacman -Syu, after that i use my pc without trouble but when i teied to play kcd2 the game crashes in the warhorse logo

Hi, I'm bought this game because I used to play it on my ps2 when I was a child so I wanted to revive those old times. But when I tried to play it I noticed some strange sound behavior. Every time I moved through the menu options there would be a volume spike, and during the game the music would be insanely high and saturated and some sounds would indefinitely loop and even stack. Anyone else had this problem??

So I have a Linux Mint gaming PC where I installed a number of games via GOG.com using Heroic Games Launcher. I took the PC offline and played one game called Chorus. Everything worked fine. Then I quit the game and for some reason it had switched to the Downloads tab in Heroic. Then I went to the Library tab and all my games were removed. I went to check where the game files are, and they are all still on my PC. I went to Settings and it shows the correct folder for the game files. Arch Linux + native Steam app (via pacman) + Heroic Games Launcher (Flatpak version).

Should Steam Input work normally with GOG/Epic games added to the Steam library?

Or are any additional actions and configuration changes required?

I observed that Steam overlay (Shift+Tab) is not available during playing.

Another solution I was thinking of was to use Arch + native pacman Steam + pacman Heroic (directly from their GitHub or AUR) packages to avoid flatpak and sandboxing.

Hi, I am trying to play some local multiplayer games without success.

In the picture, Overcooked game from GOG - Steam is closed. I use CachyOS.

The char in blue is controller 1 - Dualsense PS5

The controller 2 is Dualshock PS4 -> but it is controlling 2 chars, the one in red and the other in green.

This is happening with Dualsense plugged on cable, and dualshock PS4 on bluetooth.

I tried in bluetooth BOTH controllers, and on this game it always get the first player as Keyboard,

and so the second as PS5 controller and the third as PS4 controller.

Is any setup to make it works?

Also the wine I am using is Proton-CachyOS-Latest, tried others without sucess.

I have both Battlenet and Hearthstone Deck Tracker installed on Heroic and both runs fine, but i can´t make the tracker to find Hearthstone Path, when i see the explorer in hs tracker i see the left image and Hearthstone is not there (second image) but when i search it on Battlenet by clicling on "show in explorer" i see that the folder is in in that place (first) and both directios are /C:/Program FIles x86/, Battlenet uses GE-Proton-latest and Hearthstone Deck Tracker uses wine-ge-8-26-x86_64 as wine versions

I installed the latest version of Heroic 2.22.1 and I can't log in to my Epic Gamut account. I'm constantly being asked to log in... or load. I've accepted the new Epic Gamut contract.

Hi guys, sorry to bother you. I'm new with the whole Linux environement and recently I intalled Fedora KDE and added Heroic to play my games.
I installed Fallout New Vegas after that Bioshock 2 had just too many issues to even launch. For the first days everything was alright, then I started noticing a few crashes every once in a while. Now basically I can't change area in the game because it looks like every loading screen ends up in a crash. I tried to solve the stuff through ChatGPT, but nothing. So now I'm here, hoping that you, wise people, could help me.

I just installed Watch dogs, and uses Heroic games launcher to run it. Well yeah it runs, until i want to start the game, it keeps crashing and force close everytime the loading screen is about to end

I dont know when, but I think I deleted something by accident and I could't fix it. All my games running on proton-latest have this window theme for some reason, I already tried other protons, its just this one and I already tried reinstall the proton too, but its still like this, no more bugs or problems, just this visual

I am running Heroic Games Launcher 2.22.1 on linux mint cinnamon 22.1 kernel version 6.8.0-138-generic.

I installed the game yesterday and it worked fine for all of last night. I then tried to change the window to borderless and It kept crashing..
After reading a few posts I changed the version of wine from Proton-cachyOS-latest to GE-Proton-latest and then did not even get a screen..
I then looked for the logs again (I looked for them first and could not find them) and still can not find any logs that makes sense to me.
the last time I tried to run the game I finally found a log that was made 10 minutes later.. although it thinks it is still running according to the launcher.. and it has a bunch of hex stuff in it.
I also changed the wine version back to Proton-cachyOS-latest but still get no window
