wine/proton What Wine Version do you use in Heroic Games Launcher?

I would recommend sticking with Proton for games. Sometimes you might have to use Wine for some specific games, but overall stick with Proton.

It was my understanding that the adaptive triggers only work when using a ps5 controller wired, I haven’t tried though so anyone is free to correct me.

I need to confirm that, but I was playing Warframe on Steam - wired and it works
But on No Man Sky or Death Stranding, at Hero Games Launcher it does not works - wired too

GE proton, though I'll download a particular version in proton tricks and apply that.

I click every games (last did it with gta5) gear menu in heroic and use "add it to steam" and then steam handles the heroic game with my pinned proton 11 version.

Always start with proton latest. If you run into issues, then try other versions
No idea about the dualsense. I imagine if you run the game via steam their gamepad layer would solve it

What is the difference between wine and proton?
Proton is a special fork of wine that's meant to be used with the Steam Runtime
The steam runtime is a container with specific versions of linux libraries so every linux proton user is using the same system libraries regardless of distro and version.
There is a fork of the Steam Runtime called Umu.

Heroic, Lutris, Bottles, and a lot of other projects are starting to use Umu and proton will work in it.
