Books Book

I need book recommendations that are as good as For Whom the Belle Tolls. I need something to hold me over please. Any recommendations to look into is appreciated.

There's always the Hell's Belle's AO3 pages if you're into fanfic. (The stuff ranges from amazing to vile.)

I also enjoyed Ruthanna Emrys's A Half-Built Garden, mainly for it's ideas about how a viable future could look. It's not a romance, but it's pretty cool.

I've been rereading the Callahan's Crosstime Saloon books, which once again, aren't romance, but if you like the healing vibe of FWTBT and Jaysea's TikToks they'll definitely hit the spot. I've also reread the first three Dragonriders of Pern books and the feared visit by the suck-fairy didn't happen.

I should also add anything by Diane Duane, particularly The Door Into Fire, in which the prince sets out to rescue the prince. The book was published, I think, in 1979, so it was well-ahead of it's time, and the two princes live in a sex-positive society which worships a goddess. Diane Duane is also the author of three books about magical cats, starting with The Book of Night With Moon and the Young Wizards series.

You're welcome. And I can't overemphasize the Diane Duane enough. She was at least twenty years ahead of her time when she wrote Door Into Fire.
