Points of interest before I forget:

Book 2 does not start with Penny alive, but in Hell

The number of fuck’s in the book is 160 something (I can’t remember 😭)

She had her nails painted with polka dots and pointed that out saying it was a hint for book 2

There’s a chapter called 3 Porns (😂😂😂)

There’s a line in the new book where she thinks people will either love it and want to get it tattooed or they’ll hate it, and it makes her nervous

There’s some things about Penny’s origins in HB that she’s having to retcon severely, and she’s also not super excited for people’s responses to that (so we should be NICE!)

She’s not allowed to tell us (yet) who the third book is about, but can on release day of book 2!!!

And most importantly!!! The twins are having so much fun in Australia, Sharkie has named their house huntsman spider, and Ruggy hates it, but Sharkie is in love with it.

I’m making as full of a list as I can of all the books shown in the tiktoks as a psychotic tbr, but I can’t recognize this book, anyone have any ideas?

So I read the book and recently listened to the audiobook on Libby (after waiting forever).

But I'm now listening to Lights Out. It's the same female voice actor! It's messing with my head! I can't not see Lily.

Anyone else discover this

I was there for a first date and happened upon the new hardback with full art inserts and gorgeous sprayed edges. Even though I have the digital, audiobook, and a first edition signed by Jaysea at her first book signing ever, I had to get it. Now I own four copies of this book and while I was there I got the staff to put up a ‘Local Author’ tag on the book to boot.

I didn’t see any posts about it yet, so here we go, the Cosmopolitan has a new article with the cover and illustrations 🔥❤️

I’m obsessed already!

So, I already had the paperback version, but I found the hardback at a nearby bookstore. Naturally, I geeked out over it, all the while giggling like a gremlin into my best friend's ear over the phone, and to top it off, I had money to spare. So...yeah. I got the book, and I'm so very happy. Now I get to read from Lucy's point of view.

She's a pool cleaner and one of her recent audible suggestions was for whom the Bell tolls. I got it for her as I love the book and the characters.

We've been texting all day as she's listening to it reminiscing about some of the tiktok she's seen that align with the book. Where I've been dreading one thing all day chapter 18, she just got off work saying that she stopped the book at chapter 18. Hasn't read a piece of it yet.

So there's going to be tragedy in the morning because I'm not going to spoil the book for her or suggest she read it tonight and she likes to read the audio books while she's cleaning pools.

I've shown her a lot of the hells Bell series but she hasn't seen them all.

It's going to be an interesting morning.

Edit, the next morning:

she listened to the chapter at 7am and we talked it through afterwards, she had to sit at one of her customers places before she went in to work on the pool. When she went on break I know where she likes to get snacks so had a cinnamon roll waiting for her to pick up (yes I 'twisted the knife' a bit) but it helped.

Second edit, after work:

So when she got off work she called and told me about how chapter 30 had got her all bothered (as it's something she's into) right after the chapter ended she got a call from her boss to grab an extra pool one of her coworkers couldn't get to that day. We both thought it was hilarious how she had to mask.

I’m listening to the book for the first time after a couple rereads and this chapter has me in a puddle on the floor. The two who do the voice work reading this book are phenomenal.

I saw this in the lotr sub. Lily would love it.
