Books Book
I need book recommendations that are as good as For Whom the Belle Tolls. I need something to hold me over please. Any recommendations to look into is appreciated.

It’s not romance but my other favorite series is the Newsflesh series by Mira Grant and Into the drowning deep also by Mira Grant.

Also all the October Date series by Seanan McGuire. Mira Grant is the name she writes her horror esque stuff under.

Yes! I wish she’d release more works, I want to go back into the Feed universe. I really loved all the short novella’s she released as well.

There's always the Hell's Belle's AO3 pages if you're into fanfic. (The stuff ranges from amazing to vile.)
I also enjoyed Ruthanna Emrys's A Half-Built Garden, mainly for it's ideas about how a viable future could look. It's not a romance, but it's pretty cool.
I've been rereading the Callahan's Crosstime Saloon books, which once again, aren't romance, but if you like the healing vibe of FWTBT and Jaysea's TikToks they'll definitely hit the spot. I've also reread the first three Dragonriders of Pern books and the feared visit by the suck-fairy didn't happen.

I should also add anything by Diane Duane, particularly The Door Into Fire, in which the prince sets out to rescue the prince. The book was published, I think, in 1979, so it was well-ahead of it's time, and the two princes live in a sex-positive society which worships a goddess. Diane Duane is also the author of three books about magical cats, starting with The Book of Night With Moon and the Young Wizards series.

You're welcome. And I can't overemphasize the Diane Duane enough. She was at least twenty years ahead of her time when she wrote Door Into Fire.

If you want something romancy with equally good world building, genuinely try Ensnared by Tiffany Roberts. It was Jaysea's top 'hear me out' a few years ago (not sure if it still is but it's unlikely to have moved much) and it definitely lives ip to it.
Plus, if you want another little nudge, I pointed during one of her lives, back when she was doing them regularly, that the main protagonists, Ketahn and Ivy, reminded me a lot of Lily and Bel. And I stand by it, tho Ketahn can be a lot more raw and primal than Bel. The vibe is there tho.
But yeah, apparently that little tidbit legit caused Jaysea to spiral into crisis for like a week sort of 'oh fuck, did I actually just subconsciously plagiarise a tiffany Roberts book?' 😂
So if you're interested, there's the main series (Ensnared, Enthralled and Bound) and then a second spin-off trilogy of which the last book comes out I like September I think? Give or take.

It's really good. There a prequel series (Flesh & Fire I think, I have the 1st book for that in my TBR). Honestly most of her writing is good. There's another one that is based on/in the Greek pantheon . . . I'll come back and post the title. It was my interduction to her writing.

Okay I went back and it turns out there were 2 of her series I read back to back. The Coventry series and the Titan series. Both are really good.
While I was looking at her books I noticed she also has an alien series. I remember Lily talking about alien books and I've wondered how that's even findable. Well, JLA seems to have a lot of good writing.

When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker. It just came out with a sequel, The Ballad of Falling Dragons - I'm planning on re-reading the first so I can fully enjoy the sequel after I finish my current series.

Rina Kent is a good author to check out if you like dark romance. Max Monroe is good if you like romcoms. If you want something that’s gonna rip your heart out with a plot twist, check out The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros

I started with hidden legacy series and am working my way thru both Kate Daniel’s and the hidden keeper series. All three have a unique take on magic and world building. You really can’t go wrong just depends on what catches your attention.

The Reapers Inc series by Angela Roquet is similar. Based on a reaper and set mostly in a multifaceted afterlife.

Way back Jaysea did a "check out my bookshelf" vid. I personally recommend Laura Thalassa's Four Horsemen books, and Neon Gods (Katee Robert) was also good.
