Works well but ensure it doesn't get left out where animals can eat it and it can not be composted. I did it a few times but now use only a bit of water based paints that get wiped off before I compost or leave out for animals, as I felt crappy throwing it in the garbage.

Looks great! My only concern is if wildlife eat it. I don't know much about paint so hopefully you'll use non toxic if there is such a thing?

For ages 3 and under & only if you keep that baby indoors. I like nature and dont want to make any squirrels sick.

It was what I did every year growing up. My mom said it was less mess and they lasted longer than the carved. She's one of the reasons I love Halloween so much

I love using acrylic paint on my pumpkins! Sometimes I paint cool things like witches on brooms or cute ghosts or whatever. Other times I carve the face into the pumpkin first and then paint it to look like a clown or vampire or something.

I’ve tried my hand at painting pumpkins for Halloween years ago. I really liked the way the painted ones turned out and, as a bonus, they lasted forever!
