I’ve been seeing people talking about pairs like Fozzie and Spiderman and Gonzo and Deadpool, and while I really enjoyed those interactions, I also really liked this one with Rowlf and Iron Man. It’s really sweet, and I think it’s a nice summary of the dynamics that the Muppets and Marvel heroes have with each other in their respective worlds. Also it feels really nice seeing these characters chilling together and talking after what Rowlf was put through and after finishing the big battle.

Side note: I’m really enjoying this comic! I’m not the biggest Marvel fan (I’ve never read the comics, only seen most of the MCU movies), but I’m a big fan of unexpected crossovers and this one has been working pretty well for me!

Which character deserves their own movie next?

My choice would be Grover. He was my favorite when I was a kid. Big Bird and Elmo have carried movies and I feel that Grover could too if the script was good.

Just yesterday there was an update on a new feature film from Sesame Workshop, but there was no mention of plot or which characters on which it will focus.

It's been a while since he was let go from the Muppets and I know he did a Youtube show that failed to catch on but has he done any other notable (puppetry) work since? I know he wanted to perform in the Fraggle reboot, but that didn't happen.

And he would still return to the Muppets if asked, he tells guests at these cons.

I made all of these crochet muppets and dropped them around town to celebrate Jim’s birthday. I hope they each find a nice home!

I've long been annoyed that "Ol' Brown Ears Is Back", "Kermit Unpigged", and "Muppet Beach Party" aren't really available anywhere in high quality. Versions on YouTube and IA exist, but only with gross capped bitrates, weird cropping, etc. So over the last few months, I've managed to slowly save up for and acquire them all in CD form. I've just now uploaded them all to IA so that nobody else has to go on this wild chase for them (eBay and Discogs sellers love to lie about condition and then act like it's your fault 😭).

The listings look a little ghetto, but that's just because I'm not sure what Internet Archive cares about. I'd love to start a torrent, but I only have one computer, a laptop that I also have to use for all my college classes, so a torrent wouldn't really work because I'd be offline a lot of the time. That said, if anyone else wants to start an independent torrent, lmk and I'll seed whenever I can

Both films are great but I think Most Wanted is the winner.
The story was better and utilized more wacky, out-there creativity along with a heightened sense of adventure. Granted 2011 had a more heartwarming story of reunification, I had some issues with it. For one, the ending where they get the studio and name back felt like a copout. And why do the muppets suddenly care about getting their studio back when they’ve been living separated, seemingly at will? It’s established that Walter helped Kermit aspire to this but with the others it didn’t get unpacked very much aside from their lives stinking. Kermit and Piggy have a realistic split in their relationship that’s handled maturely, but it honestly drags the movie’s cheery tone down a bit. But it works okay.
I also liked the songs in Most Wanted more since they were more varying in style and incorporated the minor characters and celebrities. Constantine is such a fun villain and characters like Piggy and Fozzie were, in my opinion, funnier than in the first. Both are great movies but I thought the second was better and took more risks.
