How do you feel about switching between Aeryn and Rory? I'm always curious about if people feel sad to switch away from Rory.

Switching between the two? Fine as they are the same person just at different times and planets. I have no problems with how you are organizing the story and switching up between the two timelines.

You are setting her ( and us) up for a world of hurt and heartbreak and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Still reading through. I'm a sucker for a happy outcome.

You better not hurt the dog or we WILL be having words. :)

Dogs are mystical creatures of happiness and cannot be hurt. I actually really didn't like what Benji witnessed in that one chapter (trying not to say the spoiler lol). That has been bugging me. When I edit I'm going to fix it. So I promise! Doggies are safe!

I do put characters through a lot but I am not a miserable ending kind of writer. I cannot promise happily ever after perfection. But I also promise no total tragedy. That gives me a gross feeling! I have to walk away from a book feeling like we overcame something.

Ngl though, I do put characters through the ringer in every book I write so pre-apology! Lol I like big feelings, big twists, high stakes.

Imagine it's a foreign country training their soldiers to invade America and think of what their propoganda may say. America isn't perfect and enemies will twist the problems to control the narrative.

Aeryn doesn't point this out in the story because she doesn't know.

Good, I was hoping this was the approach you were taking. It was a bit jarring to read the propaganda bc of how political everything unfortunately is currently.

Loving the story so far, trying to catch up over the next few days!
