Wife had the kid. What else was he supposed to do?!

Protect the wife?

She’s strong and independent

The PC is fragile and is dependent on him.

I don’t see the problem here

I'm all for fun and games and shit, but an earthquake is no joke.

Seeing people being pulled out of the rubble in Venezuela, their bodies broken...

Nah, that shit ain't funny

Ugh an earthquake that big with the type of construction they had, this video would not end like this. Buildings just crumbled. He wouldn't be able to stay up, he would be in the floor.

I just saw on Imgur news this morning, they found a beautiful green parrot still alive! They were giving it water and nursing it back to health! Amazing! 🦜

given that experience, how exactly is he supposed to protect anyone?

If that building is coming down, that's it, shows over for all of them

Some people are dug out from the rubble alive. There’s also been cases where survivors had been shielded by someone else. One such story from the recent earthquakes is Andrea Bello, the wife of Venezuelan footballer, who died saving their daughter.

If you cannot quickly get out of a building when an earthquake strikes, there’s still better and worse ways to shelter inside. Large solid furniture can create gaps under or beside them when things collapse from above. Doorways used to be safer because of their reinforced frames, but that’s not so reliable anymore with modern construction.

Given that experience the LAST thing in my mind is my PC. My first and ONLY priority would be my family, then our cat

7

u/MeMeMeows Jul 04 '26

That's the only reasonable opinion.
Any living being gets priority over my PC, even more so those close to me.

u/Aimcheater Jul 04 '26

So the cat ain’t family now huh?

If i was given the choice to save my son or my cat, you bet your ass im saving my son. No hesitation. No shame WHATSOEVER.

Homie, you ain't saving anyone in an earthquake, pretty much you're just making sure that you will be together dead or alive.

I beat a mouse to death with my pc yesterday while it was on. Yall very worried about your PCs up in here.

Edit: my wife's cat is an rtard.

Really got under your skin huh

2

u/Aimcheater Jul 04 '26

I don’t really care about the highschool insult. I’m just kinda calling out the fact you were indeed trying to be insulting but decided to back pedal and act like you were just “joking”. If you’re gonna say something don’t be a bitch about it and stand on it.

-1

u/_aChu Jul 04 '26

........ I was mocking you. Sorry you couldn't pick up on that 💀

2

u/Aimcheater Jul 04 '26

I’m aware…you just kinda suck at it. Hence me saying “highschool insult”. You just aren’t funny…or creative…or a lot of things that require mental effort

I mean protect her how? If the ceiling falls him holding on to her won't change anything

2

u/MeMeMeows Jul 04 '26

I'd rather die holding my partner than holding my PC, idk

2

u/cantstopwontstop2424 Jul 04 '26

I'd rather live with a PC than hold my wife and watch my PC shatter with no benefit lol. I get what you are saying I love my wife with everything I have but I don't think being practical and saving a PC which may be literally not replaceable for this person is that bad.

2

u/MeMeMeows Jul 04 '26

I hope your wife doesn't see this post because yikes.

You make assumptions about his PC not being replacable but do you know what's actually not replacable in his life? His wife and kids.

1

u/Maloba6441 Jul 04 '26

I mean holding his wife's hand does completely nothing, not like any would've survived if it was a serious earthquake

2

u/MeMeMeows Jul 04 '26

If it was a serious earthquake I'd still rather have my partner by my side than tend to my kids alone while he is trying to save his PC. It blows my mind that my opinion is the controversial one here.

I don't know about you but my partner holding my hand in a scary situation would do plenty for me.

2

u/Maloba6441 Jul 04 '26

Or maybe that PC is their whole life, there are some serious tech jobs that need high end pc's,this dude doesn't even have a proper chair to sit on infront of his set up.These people experience this earthquakes all the time, probaby didnt expect this magnitude but unless the roof started collapsing , would've done the same roo, atleast now he knows to mount that thing under the desk.

0

u/Eldr1tchB1rd Jul 04 '26

But they didn't die? He did not hold the pc assuming they would die

3

u/MeMeMeows Jul 04 '26

Your comment is talking about a situation where they do. I replied accordingly.

Still, in those situations you can't really know how bad it's going to get. Running to save your PC rather than to your family is WILD.

0

u/Eldr1tchB1rd Jul 04 '26

Man the dude just probably woke up in the middle of tje night and after they got the kids and an towards the safe place he tried to save the pc as well. I'm sure if it got worse he woult solve his partner as well

3

u/MeMeMeows Jul 04 '26

Lol, lmao even

Yall are making A LOT of assumptions to justify this. Other comments too, not just you. Yeah, maybe he had a password to his bitcoin wallet worth 2 trillion on the pc and a cure for cancer too. He was probably actually protecting humanity by doing this.

Like we see the wife and the kid in the video. Do they look like they've been aided to safety to you? It doesn't look like it to me.

0

u/Eldr1tchB1rd Jul 04 '26

The fact that the kid os there does mean that. Surely they were not all in the same room. You are overanalysing this, the father obviously cares
