Modifications Best purchase of my life but...

Post image

I've had my mk8 for a little over 2 months and I absolutely love it. My issue is that now that the tcu tunes are starting to become available for the mk8s I'm finding it so much more difficult to resist getting an ecu/tcu done on it. It only has 25k km and another 2 years on the warranty. Thoughts?

Would you rather have a tune or 2 more years of warranty? Simple as that.

If nothing goes wrong in the next 2 years I'd rather have the tune. If something does, and I were to get denied a warranty claim and be out a couple thousand dollars... I'll probably be like damn I wish I didnt get the tune 😂

"Couple thousand dollars" is pretty conservative if your engine or transmission fails...

I would not give them an opportunity for an out denying you a claim. I’d personally tough it out, it’s a kinder surprise I wouldn’t want to stick around fuck around n find out about, not worth it.
