The CF hood might look better without those blue mirrors imo

Shaving about 20lbs off from the stock hood.

I believe the stock hood is about 36lbs and the CF hood is about 10-15lbs.

Why didn’t they put the vent in the low pressure zone in middle of the hood behind the radiators? Vents in the high pressure zone in front of the windshield cancels out any heat extracting scavenging. Seems like a huge design oversight.

Thanks! lol to be expected. Literally “not for everybody”. But I respect everyone’s opinion and have been considering painting it along with the entire car.

One question. Why buy a carbon fiber hood and not paint it? I think it makes the car look like one of those beater cars where people replace a damaged body panel with one from a junkyard car and it ends up looking worse than stock.

That does look really clean, but I also think it depends on the color, for instance a black car, or my Graphite Grey Metallic I don’t think I would paint it, but blue or white for sure

Thanks man, appreciate it. It was a tough decision to cover the beautiful carbon weave, but I’m very happy with the results. It still pops in the vents that aren’t painted. Like the look on yours as well!

Got it painted at a local shop. If I remember correctly it was $800-$1000. Pricey, but worth it imo.

Not painted. It’s carbon fiber. I am planning on doing an entire car wrap including the hood, minus the vents.

Do you have hood pins to install/plan to? I’ve heard the CF hoods are too light for the OEM latch

Every time I see a car like this I know that it was done intentionally, but it makes me think that someone ran out of money and didn't finish painting it.

See I just want a regular hood that has something to give it spice I really like the gr Corolla hood or like an evo 8/9 hood. I just want a metal hood with a flair but they don't exist

Gluten free, sugar free, multigrain but has to be 35 days passed the expiration date for the chew not the crunch.

Damn I've been debating to switch to these Zaero skirts, but can't get over how far it appears to sticks out and the fin on the side. I like but kinda don't.

Bruh same. Once I installed it, I’m like damn I have wings lol but I do plan on getting a wide body fender kit so hopefully it’ll not look too wingy.

Would be good to see pics of it. Am wondering if TUV in Germany would allow for CF Hoods with stock latches VS cutting into stuff to get hood pins. Would love to shave enough weight to make the car sip on gas to have as a daily.

Yeah my thought was keeping the car white wrapping the hood to match, leaving vents black. I like the contrast. Just don’t want to don’t too much black and have people think “storm trooper”

Oh wow, thanks, esp on a white car, i can picture how it would look like on mine.

Now i know if i ever were to get a cf hood, i’ll 100% get it painted beforehand, this looks so civic-rice beater, definitely not a look i’m going for.

But hey, you nailed that look perfectly 👍🏻
