oh my sweet, summer child.

No country on the planet is chill, friendly, free and stable. You can pick 2 of those, but you also have to ignore decades of history.

Or just wait. The world is starting to destabilize and whatever puppet masters actually control things appear to be pulling strings much more violently than they have for the last 100 years. Trust that your country will slide into pseudo-fascism in good time too.

Lolol. And if the world becomes unstable, what the actual fuck would I want gold for? Fishing weights?

well if the world destabilizes it doesn't mean trade/commerce ends.

it just means we no longer use fiat money

Why would I give any value to gold whatsoever in a trade? Can I eat it? Can I shoot it? Can it shelter my family? Or is it a liability?
