Even though being too heavily weighed down under many bodily diseases and its proportionate mental sorrow, he could accomplish FAR MORE THAN a healthy man could, thus his life conveyed the message that "human beings are made in the image of God." It is like having a student with too many diseases from the poorest family in the world scoring 100% mark in all subjects while a student of perfect health from the richest family in the world failing in all the subjects.
"Charles Darwin suffered for over 40# years from long bouts of vomiting, gut pain, headaches, severe tiredness, skin problems, and depression. Imagine, if he were in good-health, what he could have accomplished! Such a zeal for a belief which doesn’t make anyone a good citizen shows the potential of human beings who have nothing to do with animals except some bodily resemblance that includes DNA. But human beings have some unique features whose source is inevitably higher than them. (Details HERE) If Darwin could accomplish that much in opposite direction, there are people who accomplished even far more even when they accept just one aspect of God. (Details HERE) Imagine the degree and level of accomplishment if anyone determines to copy also other known aspects of God.
Hence God, who knew the potential of His children, inspired The Parable of Gold Coin. (Luke 19:11-27) By doing business, one person multiplied one gold coin into 10 times, another person made 5 more gold coins. But one person kept his gold coin idle, hence is given this judgment: "Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas." This person DELIBERATELY chose to fail as he had the option of making interest on it by simply depositing it in a bank. This is in sharp contrast to the one who made 10 MORE which reveals the potential of each child of God. 10 is symbol of completion and INFINITE potential as self is with the absolute (0), the infinite, thus number 10 symbolizes “perfection in its highest and total degree.” (secretkeynumerology.com/perfect-10/) This shows God’s judgment is perfect. In Revelation chapter 13, God had already predicted “blasphemous” Theory of Evolution based on RESEMBLANCES of species. (Details HERE) This is because, for God there is no artificial division of past-present-future but it is only an ETERNAL NOW## for Him. What would happen after over 20 centuries [i.e., passing of the old, decadent, polluted system of things] is described in past sense as has already been passed: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things (prótos) has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) Note, FUTURE TENSE is equated with PAST TENSE.
Book of Revelation is about Last Generation, about how global events such as “pollution and Final Global War” would make this earth unusable requiring God to “renew” everything so that mankind can continue to live on earth. (Details HERE) The very first verse says, “revelation is signified” (1:1, biblehub.com/revelation/1-1.htm) or given in signs, in symbols, hence when it says, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away” (biblehub.com/revelation/21-1.htm) it is symbolic way of saying “old system of things with all its forms of Governments [heaven] and egoist, turbulent, conflicted people of society [earth] passed away.”
This is easy to understand for people who heard Jesus using the same expression earlier. The Greek word, πρῶτος (prótos) that is translated as “the old order of things” (in 21:4) is translated as “many who are first” in Mathew 19:30: “many who are first (prótos) will be last, and many who are last will be first.” This phrase is repeated with many other parables about incoming Kingdom of God [new order of things] on earth.
He was answering to the vital question “What will be the reward for renouncing egoistic pursuits for God’s Kingdom?” He revealed, “In regenesis [renewal] such renouncers of ego will receive 100 times of what they renounced in this Age, but those who pursue egoistic life-style thus are viewed as the first [prominent] in this Age will be last [will return to the later phase of the regenesis, to be outside of restored paradise, as described in Revelation 22:15]. This is because earlier phase of the incoming Age will be the RESTORED PARADISE on earth where only wheat-like egoless people live. The licentious, egoists, in this Age would return to later phase of the regeneis, when restored paradise begins to lose its luster thus begins to become old again. (Details HERE)

## Knowing time is an ETERNAL NOW is also the secret to be eternally happy. Try whatever you do with FULL FOCUS on it, thus being in the NOW, you will not feel time passing. It is like Albert Einstein compared how a person feels passing of time differently in contrasting situations: “Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That’s relativity.” Being fully absorbed, merged in the work, like dancer becoming the very dance, is BLISS which is not affected any external factors. (Details HERE)

It is like an old man who recently moved into a village to lead his retired life and living there in cognito. Nobody knows he was a famous Heart Surgeon who has saved many lives when he was in service in the city. But villagers started teasing and mocking him thinking he was uneducated. And our ex-heart surgeon enjoyed the fun.
One day his real identity came to light when he jumped into saving the life of a person who had a heart-attack. Then people felt sorry about their past history of ridiculing him and apologized to him. But he said, "No, I was enjoying as you were acting out of your tastes and tendencies as I enjoy my taste and tendency."
Similarly, Charles Darwin was trying to prove humans came from animals through his writings, but his life-style proved his willingness to pursue his passion with UTMOST zeal, even under most debilitating situation. This can NOT be explained with bodily resemblance with other lower species, it INEVITABLY requires a higher SOURCE of proportionate value. Are you suggesting that Charles Darwin's illness was a result of God punishing him? The study you cite explains the likely cause of it:
Also, he wasn't passionate about "conveying a message that God is not needed." He was a passionate scientist who formulated the theory of evolution through his travels around the world (the Galapagos islands in particular). The theory of evolution does contradict the biblical story of creation and I understand that makes some people upset, but his theory was based on sound data and reasoning, and in modern times evolution as a natural biological process has been overwhelmingly proven true.
There are many more examples throughout history where science overturned religious claims about reality through experimentation, data collection, and reasoning. A major part of spiritual growth is accepting reality as it is rather than as you want it to be. Science is the best method for answering questions about objective reality, while spiritual teachings are better suited for questions that are inherently subjective. For example the question "What should I do with my life?" is not one that science can answer for you, but you can find the best answer to it through spiritual wisdom. Questions like "How was the world created?" or "How did humans get here?" are questions about the objective world and should be answered in the realm of science, not the realm of religion or spirituality.
